What happens if the US air strikes on Iran fail to destroy their nuclear infrastructure? At that point, it's either admit defeat and allow Iran to become a nuclear power, an utter humiliation; or muster the forces for the rest of the year and launch Iraqi Freedom 2.0, which ends the republican party in general.

Not a good set of results either way, and could have been avoided had the green light not been given to Tel Aviv in the first place.

To prevent this we should do nothing and let them become a nuclear power.

But seriously Tucker is acting like a retard and being way to aggressive. Truthfully neither of them performed well in your clip but only one of them has access to actual information about Irans secret programs/activities. Tucker acts like knowing the number of people living in Iran is the equivalent of knowing if they attempted to or were a participant in the assassination of the president. Cruze seems confused because while he's been grilled about population numbers while he's thinking, "does this guy not know about assassination attempt xyz? I thought we were going to talk about Irans nuclear enrichment?."

Tucker just comes off way over his head here. He's not and never will be a politician, nor hold any office. He's not some international ideolog who can broker peace in the Middle East/Russia. He's the ex-Fox equivalent of a late night tv host. He should have stuck to that format of show instead of trying to be a political expose type.

The shills for the war, are super organized.

If anything I'd guess this guy is counter-shilling the war, the hamfisted manipulation will only ensnare people so dumb as to be no use to the military. It looks more like an effort to inoculate the viewer against war propaganda that tries to insult the masculinity of the target.

You lie and say you destroyed it all anyway and declare a resounding victory. I suspect that although Iran does have nuclear aspirations they aren't nearly as close as we've been led to believe to get us this far so it won't be much of a lie. We wiped out a program that was exaggerated to begin with.

Yup, basically.

Remember all the seething about the Norks getting nukes and how unacceptable it was? Well guess what. They have them and nothing happened.

Besides: The director of national intelligence recently admitted that Iran currently isn’t trying for a nuke and is years away from one.

Maybe Trump should listen to his appointees?

Tucker is 1000% correct here, the fact is getting involved in a pointless conflict in the Middle East is a complete betrayal of what Trump ran on in terms of foreign policy, any MAGA figure who does a complete 180 on Iran is just blindly loyal to Trump only and doesn't actually care about policies, Trump is not immune from criticism and kowtowing to Neocon demands would be a fucking disgrace
The worst are the conservative personalities who are playing both sides of the issue. The ones that say, "I agree their should be no boots on the ground, but Iran should not get a nuclear weapon." Well if intelligence reveals that Iran is "weeks away" from having a nuke after air strikes and sanctions, what option is left?

He's already on record as saying he doesn't care what Gabbard and the DNI concluded, perhaps a hardball tactic to get Iran back to the negotiating table, until I saw this:

oh boy.webp

A PR campaign to sell an intervention in Iran.

I think they're kind of stating my position, which is, if the intel is correct and we're not being lied to (ha) I would support us actually going in, but as it stands, I don't want another war.
Basically I disagree with us going in but could be made to not disagree depending on how it turns out. It's taking a practical position rather than an ideological one.
I don't think I'm being clear, so something like this "I wouldn't invade if it were me, but I'm not opposed to having boots on the ground for ideological reasons, but for practical ones. If it turns out okay, I'm okay with it"

I generally like Tucker's moral compass. The clip about the population I don't think helped either person and I haven't seen the whole interview but hopefully there is some good dialogue there. It's healthy that conservatives can debate ideology openly, otherwise you get the democrat situation where they don't know how to debate party positions and breaking from the hivemind makes you a fascist neo Nazi. They even struggle to discuss issues amongst themselves like troons crushing women's skulls in sports rings. That's how the party has lurched so far left in recent years. Pure momentum by the far left with nobody knowing how to engage the wing flaps.

There's a lot of focus in the media/social media every time there's a split about "MAGA civil war" when there's debate about spending bills or war etc, but it's extremely healthy that we can at least try to sort this shit out.

This is such a bullshit argument.

“Bu… But we can’t let them have a nuke!”

Why the f not?

If you’re old enough, you remember how they talked about how North Korea can’t have a nuke. Until they did, and then fuck all happened there ever since.

A nuke is nuclear insurance. That’s why Israel, Pakistan and North Korea has one.

The REAL reason that “Iran can’t have a nuke” is because “Then we can’t attack and regime change them”.

(Nevermind the fact that they’re NOT a few weeks away from having one.)

Look I get you're a troll but knowing the demographics and population is immensely important. How many of the 95million people living in Iran are going to see this as a positive? How many will turn to insurgency? Unless you nuke every populated area and depopulate it by 95% you will get Iraq 2.0 on cocaine
