Emancipation Day is already a federal holiday. The basic problem is that the white, college-educated, Gen X & Millennial women who run the Democratic Party now needed do something to show how much they love niggers and fight racism, and establishing a new holiday is a great, low-effort way to do that. MLK Day is taken, of course, as is Emancipation Day. George Floyd Day was no doubt considered, but it might have been too much of a stretch. Juneteenth is perfect, really, because by even knowing what it is, you signal that you are more tuned into social justice streams than other white people, and you get a chance to call somebody racist if they object to adding yet another Nigger Day to the federal holiday calendar.

I still think that Trump should have declared a No Slaves Day rally to celebrate Juneteenth by talking about all of the wetbacks we're deporting. Do it every year of the presidency, like a state of the nation for kicking out criminal aliens.

Except for the dems "pick someone more retarded than you" strat, the main winning strategy seems to be pick a VP who balances you out and covers demographics you don't tend to attract while still supporting your main points in running (doesn't scare off your main voter base).
Pence was more buttoned up and appealed to certain religious voters, Vance is more well spoken than trump, is very America first, has a heavy focus on domestic issues, and appeals to those concerned about the opoid epidemic and getting low income (white) areas back on track.
While I really like Miller, I don't see how he balances Vance out, and he's so blunt I could see it being a negative.
I could see him being retained in the admin though.

Also, why does it have to be us? Take a look at Europe and tell me what you see.
