Gross, but the things that bother me most about this video is that he did not get the pan to the proper temp and whatever he used was definitely not olive oil. Olive oil is stored in darken bottles as UV rays can cause oxidation and rancidity. The oil he used was most likely canola or if you want to be generous peanut oil.

This "punishment" is shockingly common in various African countries. They also use ginger roots for this. WTF Africa?! For more horrifying information about how African parents abuse their kids, check out the African parents subreddit.

On the other hand, there's something to be said if such a thing is normal in another culture
After all, just 20-30 years ago it was normal to spank your kid on the ass for misbehaving, now even a light smack is child abuse, a modern 20 year old would be horrified by yesteryear's punishments by white parents too

We all feel that this is barbaric but I wonder why, what sets it apart? Is it really just a cultural difference?
To me it may be the convoluted nature of the punishment, hitting or pulling ears is more direct, whereas putting pepper in someone's vagina feels more thought-through, which again brings me back to the topic of blacks being very creative in their punishments,
Seems like it's torture more than it is a lesson

I really want to say it is, there's so much going on that makes me ask "what the fuck?" Why does the nigger have a monkey on his shoulder? Is it a snapchat filter? Why is he living in a weird bugman pod? What the fuck are those and how the shit does someone even acquire them? Bobbit worms? >reddit says they're something close to that, but again who the fuck buys something like that to eat? Did he go to a pet shop to buy aquatic worms (or somehow catch them) to cook and eat? How fucking removed from reality does someone have to be to think posting that online would cause anything but pure revulsion?

To me it's also the weird pride people like this put into extremely harsh discipline. Idk whenever I've had to punish a kid, I don't really get joy out of it and appreciate when they get the hint so I don't have to do that anymore. There's a weird energy to laughing at how badly your parents beat you or the creative punishments you make up for your kid, kind of rubs me the same way those Instagram pages dedicated to kids getting hurt or punished do.

That's exactly the right way to do corporal punishment. My parents spanked me and my siblings pretty regularly (we were unholy terrors as children), but it was never in a fit of anger or something they derived sadistic pleasure from. It was a deliberate corrective measure because anyone who thinks you can reason with an angry four-year-old has never been around one.

It's honestly weird how many people can't understand that concept, both on the pro- and anti-corporal punishment side of things.
