TLDR would have been a good idea here. In any case, this article which I read and is definitely too long (Al Jazeera is fucking trash dude) basically says that:

1. Trump praised Pakistan for arresting the perpetrators of the Abbey Gate bombing at Kabul airport in 2021 during the US exit and hosted the pakish army chief (Munir), signaling a major shift in U.S.-Pakistan ties.
2. This reflects Trump's volatile diplomatic position but also may be more pragmatic than we think because of potentially the US seeking trade deals in the region, minerals, and crypto cooperation.
3. This is actually bad because it is setting the base for military cooperation and Pakistan is already become more authoritarian by the day so this could induce Pakistan to become even less democratic with its own people.

I think this article is missing the point completely. Pakistan is one China's biggest asset and a key part of Xi Jinping belt and road policy. In my view, this is just the US flirting with a Chinese ally to try and fuck China in the ass.

I think the people who live on subcontinent read too much into the barest praise or kindness. This reminds me a little of the "hocus pocus out of focus" from the Rittenhouse trial, where the prosecution tried to used zoomed in, blurry video to claim Rittenhouse pointed his rifle first at his attackers, which would make him the initial aggressor and lose him any claim of self defense.
