TMI and off-topic but courtrooms fucking suck, I always tell people IRL "the best courtroom is the one your not in".

I’ve been involved in multiple civil cases on both sides, and one thing’s consistent, judges often treat the plain letter of the law like a personal insult. They’ll bend over backwards with “exceptional reasoning” to justify a conclusion they clearly decided on before your counsel even opened their mouth. Their egos don’t take well to being reminded what the statute actually says.

I've even had a judge whip out several benchbooks in court and drag out the hearing by over half an hour to study how she could outmanoeuvre me when I criticised her attempt to violate res judicata on an order already adjudicated many months prior, entirely because I pushed for a stronger overall case position on new evidence. She audibly fucking huffed and threw her hands up when she couldn't do it.

If you can live with a out-of-court settlement that lets you sleep at night, it is by order of several magnitudes easier than dealing with the mercurial bullshit a pacifier-sucking judge will invent. I understand Nick's contempt towards the judiciary, but that is entirely self-inflicted retardation, so he doesn't get my support.
