They have alot of facilities and materiel related to the production of nuclear weapons and have for decades. If they don't have an actual weapon by now they have a reason to stall at their current level of development. Most likely they can't produce a deliverable design, or can't guarantee the survival of the delivery system all the way to the target. if they can't build or guarantee a hit on target going through with construction of a weapon (which they could not hope to keep a secret) would be needlessly provocative.

I'm sure they could have a gun-type nuclear bomb (the most simple and easily built design) ready in weeks. I suspect what prompted this latest attack by Israel on Iran might have been intelligence that the Iranian nuclear weapons program had been given the green light on production or something similar.

If the US and Israelis had just wanted to bomb Iran for having any Nuclear weapon program they'd have done it years ago. something changed.

My theory is that a lot of it has to do with the Civil Rights Act, LBJ and some side effects of the Black Power movement.

Regardless of race, if you raise a child to be a victim, that’s all he’ll feel comfortable being. That’s all he behave like. That’s all he’ll be seen as.

No small part of the Black identity is rooted in self-victimization and is constantly reinforced. Sometimes you are the victim, that’s okay to acknowledge and take some pride in if you survived whatever ordeal you’ve been through but to hold on to it and pass it on generationally?
