I used to be firmly in the "DSP fakes tips" camp, but over time it's become obvious that he actually likes not hitting goals every now and then since he can use it as an excuse to belittle, insult and humiliate his viewers. It's like a buff that permits him to beg much more aggressively, which is one of the few things he actually enjoys doing. He also gets a dopamine high off the "what if" of a potential hail mary donation coming in at the last second. He has designed his streams to be some kind of metaphysical one-armed bandit and every time he begs, he's pulling the lever.

Didn't he actually do fairly lengthy and decent quality (compared to his current streams) written game reviews back in the day? Like fucking ages ago. I believe they were "published" on some fairly decent gaming website (although I doubt he got paid for ti)

Reason I'm asking is because if my memory of the above is correct, and I'm pretty sure it is then "game journalist" isn't really even a meme or an insult but semi-factual. There's actually a very real chance he could've actually gotten a full time gig writing game reviews back in the day and ended up writing instead of being a full-time style on-demand style video content creator style YouTuber. And I know some faggot will be like "no one would've ever hired him!" but then you obviously aren't aware of the caliber of people who work as "game journalists" in the first place.

DSP could've been the guy that wrote the Kotaku/whatever piece about putting the Nintendo Wii nunchuck up his ass.

If I'm wrong then I'm wrong. If I'm right then once again we are faced with the penultimate situation of there being many fake detractors around who don't even know basic DSP history.

DSP always has tells whenever he's trying to fake act. Whether that's an overall lack of energy, a near-immediate loss of the money buff (that Mario Kart stream had a record Money Buff loss....that shit was even faster than SF6), or him coping and sneeding about how DAH TROWULLZ think the tip is fake. He's worse at acting as LTG is.

His reviews have always been vapid or autistic (DSP NEVER CHANGES) but yeah, he did do reviews in the past. It was on an old site DSP owned from like the early 2000s that ALT reviewed on WPIG awhile ago. DSP did a review on the top whatever movies of the season and included Finding Nemo on the site, and midway through the review on the top movies he watched, he decided to start randomly crying about his washed-up alcoholic smoker whore mother fell asleep mid-movie. Which is very ironic nowadays since he basically just outright admitted a few years ago that he literally can't sit through a movie without falling asleep (he said he has to watch movies in 2-3 sittings).

Phail's been getting trolled by people asking if he's crying lately, so my guess is this is a way to circumvent that.

He was doing this like 2 years ago to hide the fact that he had a hangover, so my guess is he had to cope with having to fake like 2 or 3 tips goals worth of money over the past week by having a large drink of whatever shitty overpriced booze he bought last week and PULLING HOGANS BROTHER!!!

Well he did some reviews on his TopHaters.com website. And he did his "Hateful truths" (with comedy skits) back in the day but I am not sure he actually wrote game reviews for other websites. Though to be honest his later reviews on KOGaming were just slapped together videoclips and one-take ramblings.
