2025 Israel vs Iran War

Lol 2 weeks to decide oh boy

"Based on the fact that theres a substantial chance of negotiation with Iran...I will make my decision in the next two weeks"

Two weeks? With this much asset buildup? With the UK government asking lawyers to determine if they can join? With Nimitz arriving soon?

Gili Cohen comments:
I would put a big question mark over the next two weeks, for two reasons: yesterday we heard Trump on camera displaying clear impatience; and in two weeks - 7/4 - is American Independence Day. I would guess that Trump would want the event, certainly if it includes American involvement, to be finished by then, and not just beginning.

Trump only priority right now is Iran not having a nuclear weapon with of course peace and stability in ME - Karoline
Yeahhh, I'm guessing this is a ploy in the vein of Trump seeming to be opposed to Netanyahu in the lead-up to the first Israeli strikes only for it to be revealed that Netanyahu was running the Israeli decisions by Trump the whole time, and/or a regime change operation has gotten the green light. No fucking way the Ayatollah (or his son Mojtaba Khamenei, who is also his favored successor, or most likely any of the other leading Mullahs) would agree to return to the table & denuclearize now after witnessing Israelis blowing up his nuclear program, whacking even more nuclear scientists, fatally injuring his chief negotiator, etc. Only way Trump's getting Iran to agree to a denuclearization deal would be if the Iranians have new leadership entirely, and I expect he knows it since he's also said he's all in on achieving a 'total victory', explicitly ruling out a ceasefire.

Also I see Trump worded his statement as 'I will make my decision in the next two weeks', not 'after the next two weeks'. So we could see the Americans doing something directly before the Fourth of July, maybe well before that.

longest-range AGMs Israel has max out at about ~200 miles

HARAKAT HEZBOLLAH AL-NUJABA TELLS IRAQI GOVERNMENT TO ESTABLISH NO-FLY ZONE OVER IRAQ

it really speaks well of israel winning that they are now censoring getting bombed the shit out of them
There is a pragmatic side to this. Modern phones and social media aside you don't want your own people posting shit to TikTok that just confirms how accurate the missile targeting is.

They see a missile confirmed to have hit 100M off their expected target they now know exactly what adjustments need to be made to hit other targets.

If India vs Pakistan was known as World War Poo, what would Israel vs Iran be?

"Blue Sparrow" a.k.a. "Ankor" is a fucking target missile. It's basically designed to mimic an MRBM for testing purposes.
This makes it fucking expensive, as opposed to just a simple guided bomb. And not just expensive, but more bombs per sortie and better accuracy too (50-100m CEP for a mock MRBM versus 5-10m CEP for a guided bomb or AGM). From what we know its also a much lower-yield production model too, unlike the deep stocks of guided bombs and standard AGMs.

If you are going the "muh extra long range standoff munitions" at least go for ROCKS and not a fucking >ballistic target missile.

This angle is also inconsistent with your earlier chimping over American & Allied tanker aircraft over Jordan. If Israel is launching only and entirely very-long range standoff munitions - which can be done within their combat radius + external fuel tanks, then why would they need allied in-air-refueling to the degree they did?
Is it A or is it B?
Pick one, because it cannot be both.

Iran is literally doing the same thing.
Both Ukraine and Russia do the same thing.

Its a simple tactic so your enemy doesn't get free battle damage assessments without having to have assets nearby.
US and China would probably do the same thing in a long-range shootout as well.
