Phil's a normal sized person who went to private school his whole life, had everything paid for him, had no reason to become a lolcow, but did anyways, and on top of that, is one of the dumbest people you'll stumble upon with such a background

I think the worst thing that happened to him is finding people to validate his superiority complex.

If he never became an online figure, he would have become an average wageslave cuckold who'd find a subservient wife and yell at the TV about how blacks are ruining society.

He would likely have a few casual friends who would be able to see through his shit but tolerate him because it's "just how Phil is".

He would probably work in a cubicle pressing the "work" button all day every day, as his manager passes by and says "good work Philip, the shareholders said you're very meaningful", and that would be enough to keep a double barrel shotgun away from being the latest item he tries for DSP Tries It.

I have a bit of a different take on the "how dumb is Phil" debate.

I don't think he's actually stupid. He's average. But his own attitude and belief that he actually IS smart is what makes him seem so dumb. Allow me to explain.

Phil is someone who is neither book smart NOR street smart. He's been out of school a long time since his valedictorian days. He has no intellectual interest in anything other than the things he's hyperfocused on like fast food, booze, and detractors.

As far as the "street smart" part, he's very sheltered. He has no knowledge of the real world because he actively avoids it. He gets his views from whatever his parents taught him and from Twitter. People always say he's middle of the road, but Phil's world view is that of the stereotypical old lady on the town council in some 80s movie---girls showing skin is bad, sex is bad, breaking the rules is bad, drugs are bad, money is all that matters.

So you've got a guy who doesn't know much, won't learn, won't consider any opinions other than his own...and then he puts himself in front of a mic 40 hours a week to answer questions on literally any topic someone brings up in his "Q n A". Then he shows his ignorance on all of those topics and comes off as a total moron, but he's actually only your average intellectually stunted shut-in.

When he played chess after his 5 placement matches he got placed at 188 Elo. For reference, it's estimated that the average elementary school child has an Elo of 300. The weakest AI that chess.com offers is 250 Elo. The "DSP has average intelligence" copers are akin to the Japanese holdouts who were "fighting" in WWII years after it ended.

I guess it's time for one of those conversations where we try to figure out what "stupid" what actually is.

Is it low IQ? Is a person stupid if they don't know the capital of France but make $100k+ a year? Is a person stupid if they work in a glue factory?

For me, DSP is the epitome of a stupid person - an unintelligent person who has convinced themselves they are the smartest one in the room. But he makes $100k a year despite his stupidity.

But anyways, what is certain is that he is retarded.

It's already been said but he was autistic enough to memorize test answers at the Bridgeport Private Academy for the Basketball American and that was the last time his brain had to do any work. I doubt if he ever read a book since and if he watches any movies he's glued to his phone pulling Hogans and tapping the win button while occasionally looking up and going "Huh? What?", then looks back down as Khet sighs and downs another slice of snack pizza. He might have had average intelligence at one point, but add on over 2 decades of gin and frying his dopamine receptors on gacha and his brain is barely above pudding at this point. DementiaSydePhil will be a fun final arc in the not so distant future.

IMO his highest point would be around 90ish. The thing about Catholic schools (and other religious ones) you don’t have to be smart to get in. You just need to have the money. The student body is small with kids who really don’t care. I believe Phil got valedictorian from having very little competition. These kids are from rich families, so why should they care about good grades? Daddy can buy them into any school they want. That’s why Phil went into a racist rant about how he didn’t get into the college he wanted ‘cause of his skin color not because he’s a brain dead ‘tard. Honestly, if he went to a public school, he wouldn’t have been valedictorian, he would have been in special Ed.

DSP definitely has self-awareness it just doesn't present how it does normally in people. That's why he's so defensive about tiny, mundane shit he does - he can't take an L ever.
