Israel and the West Bank The Department of State is continuously planning for contingencies to assist with private U.S. citizens’ departure from Israel. Do not wait for U.S. government assistance to depart. U.S. citizens who are able to depart on their own should do so. We will alert U.S. citizens if there is additional information to share regarding departure options. U.S. citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents currently in Israel or the West Bank and seeking U.S. government assistance to depart, please complete this form in the following link so the Department of State can better assist you and provide you with timely updates:

You are not currently in Israel or the West Bank. Someone else can fill it out on your behalf, but the person seeking assistance should be in Israel or the West Bank.
You are not interested in departing.
You are not a U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.

Iran: Iran airspace remains closed due to hostilities with Israel. U.S. citizens seeking to depart Iran should depart by land to Azerbaijan, Armenia, or Türkiye if they deem conditions are safe/if they can do so safely. Information on departing Iran via land borders is available in recent Alerts, found here:

If You Plan to Leave Iran: The Department has opened a crisis intake form for U.S. citizens in Iran to pass information about consular assistance. However, because of the limitations on consular support in Iran, we do not anticipate offering direct U.S. government assisted departure from Iran. U.S. citizens seeking departure should take advantage of existing means to leave Iran.

You are not a U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
U.S.-Iranian dual nationals must exit Iran on Iranian passports and should be prepared to encounter checkpoints and questioning from Iranian authorities before departing Iran. The Iranian government does not recognize dual nationality and will treat U.S.-Iranian dual nationals solely as Iranian citizens.
U.S. citizens who are unable to depart Iran should be prepared to shelter in place for extended periods. The U.S. government does not have diplomatic or consular relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Swiss Protecting Power office in Tehran is closed until further notice and cannot assist U.S. citizens in Iran at this time.
