I don’t get why the Reddit/Twitter Karens and reactors are surprised that Chantal most likely got Smokey through a private adoption and not through an actual shelter. Any shelter would charge at least $40 for that cat (my dog was almost $100), they might require her to foster the cat first, and some shelters even look into the living conditions. A lot of them also require you to have a collar and maybe a leash when you do walk out with an animal; Smokey doesn’t appear to have one.
White trash get their animals through others, like on Facebook and Craigslist; thus Chantal probably did the same.
I have a feeling that Smokey’s probably been tossed around by people who don’t really have his best interest in mind, and I feel bad for him. I also am disgusted by her continuing to focus on animal genitals. There’s not a lot that this cow does that actually disgusts me, but this is one.

I just hope that he continues to spray on her bedding and into her water filter. Maybe takes her sugar foot toe as well.
That is if he doesn’t lose some weight through her negligence, and bolts out of the front door.

I mean, most would think adopting a cat in the first place is a permanent decision, but you do you.
