Trump was bombing the middle east a scant 6 months into his first term which never turned into a war. There's fairly intelligent people here but many of them are ignorant of geopolitics and how they work and while I won't claim to be an expert I at least know what a war is and would have hoped most here would at least do some semblance of research before spouting off like idiots
WW3 is not WW1 where a series of inexplicable alliances fire off in sequence resulting all countries that matter fighting each other. WW3 is Russia's botched invasion of Ukraine allowing Azerbaijan to invade Armenia and Russia's failure to support it giving the Syrian rebels an indicator that Assad was by himself causing an unexpected push which allowed Israel to safely destroy Syria's aircraft and air defenses as well as taking Mount Hermon permitting it to have an air passage by which to conduct an air assault on Iran forcing the US to intervene and drop bunker busters on its nuclear facilities. (For those keeping track: Ukraine, Russia, United States, Israel, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Syria, Iran).
I believe the answer is, as always, nothing.

It was a meme joke. 'Things happen' but nothing too much. I don't see major states invading each other, probably a lot more skirmishes though. My main concern has been forever US/Europe vs China vs Russia. I think the world is a bigger risk of Russia just saying fuck it than these others, but that's just my guess.

What honestly can Iran do in this situation? What attack can they launch? What weapon systems do they have that could harm the US? A bunch of indirect piracy in some canal that most Americans can't find on a map? Truth is, the sum total of their contribution to the world is Memri TV memes. An unimportant little inbred mountain nation. Do I like seeing "Zion Don" support Israel? Nope, not a bit, but who really gives a fuck about this. In a month this will be forgotten. It's not WW3.

Part of this is becuase Israel is fully aware that their golem has turned on them, that their "fellow whites" scheme + everyone becoming painfully aware of their constant subversion efforts throughout the rest of the civilized world means they're about to lose all the "friends" they had. If they actually try, things are going to get real "proportional", really damn quickly. Last time they tried that stunt, a single Carrier Strike Group and some frigates turned half of their navy into coral reefs in a single day.
