Getting what I voted for, I've never thought we would ever get this close to gutting a lot of the NFA. Kamala would of weaponized the ATF to redefine almost every single gun legislation to ban whatever the scare of the week is through Chevron deference. There was a legitimate chance for Glocks to be reclassified as machine guns because "they're easily convertible". Trump's record wasn't the greatest (bumpstocks), however Vance is and his improved circle (first term circle was complete dogshit and full of fudds) guided him towards forcing the DOJ to reverse several stances against the 2a. My biggest negative from this administration is putting up Pam Bondi as AG. she's the one who got Trump to flirt with Red Flag Laws before he realized it sounded retarded. (something liberal gun owners will remind "Magats" of but then turn around and vote for someone who supports them)

If I'm wrong I'll own up to it, but I'm pretty sure I'm not. Boots on the ground in a place like Iran would require a lot of logistical prep. Massive amounts, people should maybe go search for the post our very own @Jet Fuel Johnny made about his experience doing logistic work for Desert Storm. Paradox Map Painters and Total War games have really done a number on people's understand of how prepping for real war actually works.

A land invasion of Iran is retarded for a lot of reasons, which is why I don't see it happening, but that's never stopped the Holden Bloodfeasts of the political world for trying to talk it into being. Trump has been consistent in 1. Not wanting Iran to have nukes and 2. Not wanting actual war. And again, we bombed the Houthi for 50 days, that didn't turn into a land war. Were the same posters saying an airstrike is going to lead to boots on the ground now saying the same thing back then?

Like I said earlier, this constant retreatism rhetoric is exhausting. I recall when the parameters were simply a war, which judging by Vance's comments today, and Trump's truth social post about regime change and MIGA (lol), we are now most certainly in. Now that we are inarguably in a war where we may very well seek to topple Ayatollah, the "erm actually" MAGA crowd start repeating this "boots on the ground" shit. I have zero doubts that if this indeed does escalate, and we do send troops to Iran, you people will find a new arbitrary definition of war to latch onto while you moral soapbox me and others about wanting a war with Iran, when that is what we've been screaming from the rooftops hoping to prevent since the beginning.

Newsom vs. Vance does seem like the clear 2028 contest right now. Of course, Newsom has no qualities besides his appearance, but we're in a two-party country with fake elections, so solid 50% chance he's President in 2029.

War has to be officially declared you dumb dickhead. If a bombing was indicative of a war then every fucking bomb dropped from Obama bombing weddings to just now should have been a war. But guess what 90% of those bombings lead to fucking nothing, just like when we bombed the houthi's for 50 days, some fucking war that was huh.
