2025 Israel vs Iran War

Not for nothing, but I think a lot of things had to happen for Iran to get to this point. Syria getting swept from the board a few months ago, Russia/China and to a lesser extent pakistan not really helping them like one would expect.

The complete collapse of Syria was a bit of a surprise, to be sure, but why would anybody think Russia, China, and ESPECIALLY Pakistan would get involved?

Russia is in an active conflict, and they won't risk any gear, especially AA or aircraft that might be able to stop the F-35.

China wants oil. After Iran hit a number of civilian areas, Israel started hitting oil infrastructure, and China can buy from somebody else. Beyond a resupply run (that seemingly only happened once), there was no chance China would risk a major conflict over an oil source.

Pakistan has no real interest in Iran, and doesn't really have munitions or gear to spare. It's all needed to point at India

Has there been any evidence of the Iranian Air Force even attempting to respond? The sole evidence of their existance in this conflict was an F4 Phantom flying CAP in Mashhad on Day 1 when Iran thought it was too far for Israeli jets to hit.
Israel provided bomb cam footage of 2 F-14's being destroyed on the ground. It is reasonably speculated that those might have been the last 2 specimens of that noble bird left in any operational condition worldwide. Iran has not released any footage of more than a single airborne F-14, nor has more than 1 flying one been detected by others in a couple of years now. The F-4's are probably a lot easier for them to find parts for. There were more than a dozen non US operators. There are tons of them in various nations boneyards, and I believe several nations, such as Japan, produced them locally under license. So the Iranians probably still can beg borrow bribe or steal the occasional spare parts from somebody.

The fall of Syria was obviously huge, and basically severed the "Shiite Crescent" and helped expand a potential air corridor to Iran.

Iraq, while nominally pro-Iranian, is functionally a wild-west state. Furthermore, the pro-Iranian Shias are mostly concentrated in the south while nothern Iraq (where Israel would be flying) is dominated moreso by Sunnis (who generally hate Iran) and Kurds (who hate everyone).
Its more than that with Syria and Iraq. Iraq has not moved heavy equipment in the Sunni/Kurd center or north. Kurds for fear the kurds would use it to start a war with Turkey, Central because the Shia government fears the Sunnis would use it against them next time they rise up. Neither Iran or Turkey, (nor Aremenia or Azerbijan) are really serious threats, so Iraq can afford to leave the area largely undefended.

this gave Israel a massive opportunity to open corridor to go to Iran, if they could only get through Syria's dense AAD. So they worked with Turkey on a deal, one I doubt Turkey knew the full extent of (but maybe they did, they hate Iran too): We help take down Assad, you let us destroy Syria's air defense network. Assad falls in November - we're talking 8 months ago - Israel proceeds to bomb the fuck out of Syrian AAD while Turkey tells the new Syrian government to not raise a stink about it. This gives Israel now a full open path to go bomb Iran.

But Iran still has significant AAD infrastructure. Its not really a threat but it doesn't have to be given the distances involved: If they can just lock and launch on Israeli jets, those jets would need to accelerate and maneuver, potentially burning enough fuel they wouldn't be able to complete their missions.

So Israel provokes Iran into doing something stupid by bombing one of the IRGC commanders meeting with Hezbollah in Syria. Iran launches missiles in response, Israel responds by sending jets the long way out over the Red Sea to bomb Iranian missiles but most important Air Defense radar. So that now, when they go to destroy Iran's nuclear sites they not only have a direct route to Iran over land, but Iranian AAD is already degraded AND Iranian war planners clearly expected another strike from the South over international waters.

You may not like it, but this what peak 4D chess looks like.

Bringing up Russia is kinda unavoidable given the relationship between Russia and Iran. They worked very closely in the Syrian Civil War and Iran was very supportive of Russias Ukraine invasion. Both countries had a vested strategic interest in pushing back against American hegemony. All of that careful planning and political maneuvering is a smoking crater right now. Smoking even harder then Fordoz right now.

This war those retards in Gaza started has started to knock over bigger domino's. Hezbollah is buck broken and when told by Lebanons actual government to sit-down and shut up they actually did. Assad is gone. All the Houthis managed to accomplish was piss everyone off and at the inflection point when Israel called Iran's bluff...turns out they didnt have the hand to back it up after all.

Now they are getting curb stomped and the USA is discovering the Multi Polar, BRICS, Turd World axis of resistance against the American Empire was a bunch of bullshit backed up by nothing but copium and propaganda.

All it took was Israel to just give it a swift kick and the entire rotting edifice came crashing down.

There have been 4 confirmed F-14 ground kills, but all of them had not moved in 10+ years. They were almost certainly non-functional which is why they were left behind in the tactical airwing retreat. Iran had 74 and from seeing aircraft moving around its confirmed that at least 25 of them of are still operational.

People speculate the F-14s are no longer combat-capable as the inability to replace wings, but its unlikely they would dog fight with them: what they bring to the table is very powerful radar and reverse-engineered Phoenix missiles, so they are used more as loitering airborne SAM-but-ATA.

This was quite the roll of the dice for America.
I don't see how. This is just another instance of US stealth bombers shitting all over our enemies with impunity. I will refer you to US predictions before the 1991 air campaign against Iraq where the US privately was prepared for up to a 50% loss rate of F-117s. Instead we got 1,271 F-117 sorties with zero losses against the fourth largest IADS network on the planet.
I think a lot of things had to happen for Iran to get to this point.
Yeah. As I've said before, this was Israel's prime opportunity. Iran's regional strength for the past twenty years has been its massive proxy network. This was also their primary means of deterrence. With their proxies degraded, neutralized, or otherwise engaged, Iran was wide open. As for China/Russia/Pakistan getting involved, that was never going to happen. Pakistan and Iran are not friends, China is an ally of convenience, and Russia is indisposed.
These bunker busters were made specifically for Iran's fortified nuclear sites
Do you just make up random shit for (you)s? Legitimately asking.

Guess we gotta put boots on the ground after all lest we be back in the same spot 45 years from now.
I'm more than happy with just periodically checking in and bombing them back to the stone age until either their own people get tired of it and revolt or the jews move in to take their foreskins. They've made a very good show of the fact that they are very easy to make "find out" if they want to "fuck around"
These bunker busters were made specifically for Iran's fortified nuclear sites
They were developed due to perceived under performance of previous bunker buster bombs in Iraq.

Those 2 they blew up were reportedly airframes that had been sitting there for years just being cannibalized for parts.

Iran does have an underground airbase called "Eagle 44" but details are scant and they only show them housing F-4 Phantoms which would light up like a Christmas tree on 5th gen fighter radar like the F-35 or even older platforms like F-15, F-16. Irans most capable fighter are its MiG-29s but I doubt they have been investing time and resources in the program for the fighters and pilots to put up much of a fight.

F-14s are maintenance nightmares and its honestly surprising Iran extended their service life for so long.

Forget jewish lawyers, I need jewish war planners.

Honestly, I wonder how much of this would have gone down in this way if those retards in Gaza could have kept it in their pants

Truly our greatest of allies... The Euros would have just wagged fingers.
Euros would have wagged fingers at us for hurting brown feelings

To add to this, the Israeli strike last year would be the Israelis testing F-35 stealth abilities against what they assumed would be more advanced SAM systems Iran had. The fact they were able to fly up and take out radar systems without being fired upon likely gave Israel confidence to carry out this campaign.

Trump getting into office was a bonus (Democrats are Ayatollah dick suckers for whatever reason) since the B2 is also stealth and therefore immune to Iranian AA

No matter what you'll always find a way to sperg about Russia
The quoted post was mentioning no help arriving from Russia. And its the same reason none came for Syria - Russia cannot help, they have nothing left. They are being forced to pull out of Mali for the same reason.
You can cope whatever you want but Russia isn't helping their source of missile parts, ammo, and long range one-way drones because they do not have the capability to do so.

The Cossack fears the Jew.

To be fair to him, I did broach the Russia stuff. I think he's dead wrong and mostly retarded, but he didnt' bring it up out of the blue.
You are the retard wondering Iran's rival Pakistan isn't coming to help to them.

Let's be real, Israel had their own reasons for kicking Iran in the balls. But them doing so also created an opportunity for America, which had been for years paralyzed by indecision over what to do about these rogue nations gnawing on the roots of its Empire.

It was less about supporting Israel and more about finally seeing an opportunity to really stick the knife into a country that has been an obnoxious pain in the ass for the USA for half a century.

China is still mostly successful (at least when compared to its BRICS counterparts); tbh I just wanna see an entire navy get sunk in the south china sea if WW3 starts (probably chinas).

btw the Mossad allegedly 3d printed and CNC milled their own drones in Iran, all they brought in were circuit boards

Basij published photos of a raided mossad drone shop

If you looked at my posting history in this thread you'd see that I made it pretty clear that I don't think Russia has any desire (or capability) to help Iran. Additionally, putin can always suck up to china even more for those parts (assuming they haven't already made preparations to make those parts themselves if they can)
Also, my point is that nothing prompted for you to mention the same 1/5th size garbage. I half expected for you to mention their MBT being the T-62 again.

China is very good at building large navies. Every century they build an impressive one, largest in the world even. Then they sail it out into the ocean and promptly get destroyed.

The Military tradition of the Chinese Navy has the Military tradition of the Mexican Army. A long story of defeat after defeat, nepotism and reconstruction just to get defeated again. One of the funniest stories to come out of the Sino-Japanese war was that the shells on the Chinese warships were stuffed with saw dust instead of explosives because the Military contractors did the tofu drek method of construction. Just for ordinance. So despite the Japanese being outnumbered in men and tonnage at the Battle of the Yalu River, it was a one sided slaughter.

The USA has demonstrated its shit is real and it knows how to use it. China cannot say the same.

WASHINGTON — Efforts to improve the performance of the U.S. military’s heaviest “bunker-buster” bomb have succeeded, according to the Pentagon’s testing chief.

Tests of the 30,000-pound Massive Ordnance Penetrator made by Boeing demonstrated the redesigned weapon “is capable of effectively prosecuting selected hardened, deeply buried targets,” Michael Gilmore, the Pentagon’s director of operational testing, said in a report to Congress.

Pentagon officials have said the 30,000-pound (13,600- kilogram) bomb could be used if the United States decides to attack Iran’s nuclear program, with its deeply buried and hardened Fordo uranium enrichment facility that holds a stockpile of enriched uranium.

While Gilmore didn’t mention any specific uses for the bomb, he said it is intended to hit targets “requiring significant penetration” that are located in “well-protected facilities.”

The testing assessment is the first public discussion of the bomb’s capabilities since early last year, when the Pentagon disclosed a need to improve it.

Testing of modifications involved five bomb drops from B-2 stealth bombers at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico from June to October and two ground tests, according to Gilmore’s annual report on Pentagon testing, which he sent to Congress on Jan. 11.

The bomb is six times bigger than the 5,000-pound bunker-buster that the U.S. Air Force and the Israeli Air Force have in their arsenals to attack deeply buried nuclear, biological or chemical sites.

Israel has said it may launch an attack on its own, raising questions about whether it could effectively halt Iran’s nuclear program unless the U.S. joined in with the bigger bomb.

Iran, which is under pressure from economic sanctions imposed by the U.S. and the European Union, has said its nuclear program is for civilian purposes.

U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Herbert Carlisle cited the 30,000-pound bomb at an industry conference in March as among U.S. capabilities in a potential attack on Iran.

The bomb made by Boeing has “great capability and we are continuing to make it better,” he said. “It is part of our arsenal if it is needed in that kind of scenario.”

The move to improve the bomb was made shortly after the Air Force took the first delivery in September 2011. The action may have been a response to Iran’s announcement on Jan. 9, 2012, that it would begin uranium enrichment at the Fordo facility near Qom that’s tunneled into mountains, said Kenneth Katzman, a Middle East military analyst for the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service in Washington.

“This is a very hard target, and the international community believes that if Iran were to attempt a nuclear breakout, it would be conducted at this site,” Katzman said last year.

The Pentagon won congressional approval in February 2012 to shift $81.6 million in funds to improve the bunker-buster.

The Pentagon request to upgrade the bomb was submitted 11 days after the International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed the enrichment activity. The location at Qom is 90 meters (295 feet) under rock, according to David Albright, founder and president of the Institute for Science and International Security in Washington.

Northrop Grumman’s B-2 stealth bomber is the only aircraft capable of carrying the weapon.

Pentagon Comptroller Robert Hale said in a Jan. 20, 2012, request to Congress that the money was needed to “fix issues identified in testing, including tail-fin modifications and integrating a second fuse, enhance weapon capabilities, build test targets and conduct live weapon testing. The request funds the immediate requirement to support the desired upgrade schedule.”

The 20.5-footlong bomb carries more than 5,300 pounds of explosives and is guided by Global Positioning System satellites, according to a description on the website of the Pentagon’s Defense Threat Reduction Agency.

The bomb has a hardened-steel casing and can reach targets as far as 200 feet underground before exploding, according to a December 2007 statement by the Air Force News Service.

They started to make their own spare parts. F-14 are incredible aircraft in terms of performance.
Climb rate is better than F-35 iirc

The Cossack fears the Jew.
They could technically spare some Su-30 & Su-35 fighters.
Their actual non-CAS, non-attack fighter numbers still have deep benches and have suffered disproportionately less casualties in the last three years of the 3 Day SMO.

I believe there was intent to provide Iran with Su-35s as well.
