Arts & Practices of the Witchy Woman - Astrology, Crystology, Herbology and more

Something that just hit me is a finger fidget I do when I'm in the early stages of stress, touching the tip of the thumb to the tip of each finger on the same hand in a row, back and forth getting faster until my thumb slips or I miss a finger. It was from some British murder mystery drama I saw almost two decades ago where one of the characters who professed to be a witch does it. I've no idea why it's stuck with me for so long, but my hand just starts doing it without me thinking on it at times.
Heh that’s sounds like what I do on the bus going to work, but I get an old paper bus ticket, half it a roll it into a scroll at both ends together. Then I roll it up and down. It’s quite soothing to me lol

Do interdimensional conspiracies count as witchcraft? I feel as if it crosses over.

I've tried my hand at various 'practices' I suppose you could call them. Mostly as a way to avoid fully committing to my Catholicism and also to explore wannabe 'reconstructed' pre-Christian European traditions (I derive joy from staring at Pictish megaliths, sue me).

The main issue I always run into is a significant lack of belief.

Obviously the ritual and communal aspect, and even just the aesthetic value of pulling some bone runes out of a velvet pouch or carving sigils into candles is fun as fuck, but it's never been sincere enough for me.

So I keep it to myself in that I don't mingle with other heathens. (Who are usually insufferable and convinced that they're having astral projection sex with the avatar of Hades) I'd rather go to Latin Mass for my spiritual community. Same level of crazy, but wayyy more palatable. I'll take Kyrie Eleison over a rant on psychosomatic moon magick [sp.] any day, and I can do a little sacrilege on the side

A couple of spells to cause impotence:

#1

Grab a candle, preferably black (for baneful work) but any color works. There are some penis shaped candles perfect for this kind of spells, but regular ones work too. Anoint with Domination oil. Stick pins and needles in it. Write the name of the target on a piece of paper and burn it. Then let the candle burn.

#2

Grab a banana, open it, write the petition in it, sew it shut and bury it.

That's not a very nice thing to do.

The problem with this sort of thing is that it is also attracting troons. For people who are into this sort of thing, I would be very wary of troon infiltrators taking over this hobby, and expect to see troon employees in the places where you buy this stuff.

Perhaps somebody can figure out how to ward off troons from your spaces.

I'd share some horrors I've seen on tiktok, but this is a nice thread.

I grew up in a pretty secular household and was allowed to explore magical/spiritual stuff a lot growing up which was cool. Interpreting dreams, reading tea leaves, making wands and dreamcatchers, and making up my own spells were all things I did in my teenage years.
In the last two years though astrology has really captured my mind. Like, maybe it's a problem sometimes. I'm obsessed. I experienced a pluto over my ascendant transit and I was struck by how real it all is and really how powerless we are against destiny, which I do believe exists now.
I have a lot of placements in my birthchart that are classically considered "psychic" if you believe in that stuff. I did shrooms for the first time and really believe I talked to god. I saw the whole winding staircase kundalini thing, purged my negative emotions, felt a twinge in my head and turned a certain way and there was just light that felt like it was filling up my whole body. I don't want to sound gay so I won't say any more about that though lmao. I also used to have a very high heart rate due to anxiety and some PTSD but since that experience my heart rate is healthy and I have an easier time keeping my head level.
I've also been listening to some old recordings from this youtube channel that reads into the astrology mythos and numerology across world religions, and decoding the symbolism of the bible in particular. It feels like a whole world has been unlocked to me tbh.
I also loooooooove to look at compatability astrology. How two people exchange energy and the changes that people experience just from being around each other - very neat. Might be my favorite.
I am VERY excited for this uranus in gemini transit for the united states this year. Big big stuff coming soon.

Balkanisation would be a good start.
I think there is a possibility for that happening, for a short time at least. All this aries energy in the air too. But maybe i'm too hopeful. I think at the end of this pluto in aquarius cycle at least nothing will be as it was before. The last one brought about the industrial revolution and its consequences and this one will certainly have the AI revolution fucking things up. How exactly is to be decided.
