Filian is currently live with Grimmi and Layna. They're probably getting drunk.
I don't really like Layna but Grimmi is highly underrated and deserves a bigger viewership in my opinion.

filian is drinking energy drinks because she doesn't drink. I thought she drank on stream before at Lana's place in New Zealand? She also got in trouble for accidentally bringing her fake ID instead of her real ID to an airport before. Did she never drink, or did she quit?

I know that she doesn't drink or does any kind of drugs in general. (Honestly based, and I hope she stays that way and doesn't let some of her Twitch thot Vtuber friends convince her to get into weed for content or something like that.)
But right now she's talking about how it is her first time drinking, so I'm pretty sure she's drinking something containing alcohol right now.

Yeah if your going to maintain copyright you have to protect it. Giving it out for free to people kind of undercuts that.
I get that people see this as something the artist put work in to create but if it weren't for filian no one would buy something with its likeness. Inversely, if she dropped it people wouldn't buy as much if any merch of that character. I think they should just be happy with receiving credit for the model although i'm not really sure if filian did that, TLDW.

There is a lot of stuff that is free to use and modify as one wishes as long as it isn't for commercial usage. In as much as I personally enjoy violating IP, it's pretty difficult to argue that Filian was in the right (best case scenario is one could argue that she didn't know any better (especially valid if the model didn't have any license attached to it)). Further, being "paid in exposure" is pretty piss poor recompense.

If I were them, I would use that meeting to set up a model commission with the artist for a custom model. That way, everyone wins.

I can't find the clip right now, but I'm pretty sure filian talked about how her VRC friend knew how to rip models or gave her the software. She may have even paid them IIRC. I'm sure it's been plastered all over ripping sites since, but it's not where she got it.
