Iran might be neutered but any neighbours that would do it would still fall flat on their face, the Iranians are actually competent when you compare them to their neighbours.

Its not just about Persians being better than Arabs. Invading Iran would be a nightmare due to the terrain - See: Saddam's invasion. They are largely surrounded by mountains. They also have a 100 million popuation which is multiple times the size of any neighbors.

the only country that MIGHT is Saudia Arabia, and they have 1/3 the pop and their army is notoriously garbage.

I guess technically Russia could come down the Caspian but they are on the same team right now so Russia has no interest in that.

Bascially they just have no one around them who poses a significant threat. Their only real theats are
