So, I replayed Undertale.
Toriel is a much worse person that I remembered.
I never caught up that Mettaton was a trans allegory, but also I realized that he's the second biggest piece of shit in the game you can encounter, with the other one being literally souless.
Alphys is also scum but at least she's self aware about it, Asgore did nothing wrong and sans is a lot less funnier than I remembered.

I always thought Mettaton was obnoxious. No wonder that traggot wants to kill you and feed people inedible food.

Was watching some videos today and came across this. Apparently if you talk to the rabbit in the S-Tier dressing room after getting the shadow mantle, the rabbit says that something went by and dragged off Ramb (Since Ramb had turned to stone by then). Then says that it looked like Kris.

She never sabotaged mettaton, she left him unfinished because she knew he would just discard her when she was done with his body, just like he discarded his cousin who really, really need someone helping him and was planning to discard monsters as a whole. He does backtracks it in the true pacifist ending, finally making up the promise he wrote in his oldest diary but it feels like an afterthought, especially considering the neutral endings where he becomes a despotic tyrant.

yeah but mettatons motivations are the worst. hes a selfish piece of shit. undyne thinks youre a threat and is doing her job, asgore is stuck between a rock and a hard place trying to avoid causing any more suffering but he also wants to free his people. papyrus is too naive to understand that if he captures and delivers you youre gonna die. sans doesnt give a fuck if you live or die but he will only fight you if youre genociding everyone in the underground which is fair enough. toriel just wants to stop you leaving but wont actually kill you unless you run into her bullets. muffet is a spiderjew trying to acquire currency for her spiderjew people which is almost as bad as mettaton but at least its not as selfish.

I think Ramb just has the connection with Kris because Ramb was such an important part of Kris and Asriel having fun playing games and watching tv, but no one really pays attention to the power strip powering them.

What makes him part of the cyber world though, just being in the library at one point? Before that, the power strip was in a store, then a factory… is it Toy Story rules where it becomes a darkner when the final object is assembled? I’m being pedantic, but the point is I think it’s more about an object being in a certain place for a while that it becomes “part of” that dark world. It would also explain how Ralsei can be in any dark world without turning to stone, because he’s something that Kris/Susie always carries around and isn’t tethered to any dark world as a result.

Also, am I the only one who thought Ramb was definitely female before finding out he was a guy? Maybe it’s the pompous hair and the way he calls people “love” like he’s being elegant, but I haven’t seen anyone else get confused about this so maybe I’m just retarded.

My guess is he tries to hold on longer in the Shadow Mantle route since he knows he needs to help you one last time.

Also, I’m late but about the “Toby talks formally because he wants to be Japanese” thing: I think it’s a lot simpler than that. Undertale released when he was in his early-mid 20s and a relative nobody outside his niche communities. Becoming a worldwide celebrity over the span of a few months + growing past 25 + working with big companies like Nintendo probably made him reevaluate his public persona. He still has a wild sense of humor and said a few years ago that Spamton was the closest to how he talks in real life, so he just knows when to rein it in.
