I think part of the reason is the arguments he uses ARE the arguments many leftists will use. Even if people know he's a troll the points he makes are things people want to respond to because they're being made elsewhere in earnest.

Fatpacks' short and sweet puppy dog approach is a lot more loveable.

Yes. In the before times, there was a great purge of other anonymous message boards. Those rapefugees came here looking for a place to espouse far right ideology away from the prying eyes of Tranny mods. But Null didn't have a place for them, and so they invaded any salient thread with /pol/ retard sperging about "THE JEWS" and other common touch points. So, after many attempts to corral folks while at the same time amazed and seeing opportunity at the level of traffic (and possibly revenue somehow) it brought, this home for /pol/tards to infest was created in order to keep threads on lolcows and communities from becoming one homogonized mess of politics autism.

I suppose it is working, I don't notice these people who post weird rehearsed bait on other boards (nearly as much).

Also anyone else notice this phenomenon on other websites too? It's always someone who is in the 20% minority in political beliefs in a thread/channel who acts really formulaically? It's like talking to GPT-2.5.
