A little late but I managed to get around to playing TFR over the weekend and check out the new content. I'm pleased to announce:

In TFR, how do you get the identitarians and what is the difference between them and ethnic nationalists? They are put under national socialism while ethnic nationalism is fascism despite being incredibly similar.

I'm going to wait till TNO releases its Africa update and then possibly make it. I have my own private and personal TNO I fiddle with which Sooty Soot and GoodWinSon have been big helps for (Inspiration, not actually coding it). This idea has been in my mind a while since on the very early days we talked that TNO worked best as Grim Derp a la KX. Stuff like the bajillion Direlewagner events of him dying to SCPs, falling Sun guns, or having Babushkas with sledgehammers kill him was kino.

TNO more than anything despite you would think Germany being the main character is more of an America fuck yeah story. The nation pushed to the brink and then comes back because their enemies are more retarded. Its why modern TNO is slop. Someone made a good point that in Europe neo-liberalism and liberalism is portrayed as good by the writers and they really do want America back. Whereas in America the TNO America writing team are butthurt commies that write about how America is heckin and mean despite them fighting literal Nazis. I am off the opinion that TNO America should be an anti-fascist parody of Fallout America complete with anti-fascist Liberty Prime who fucking hates Japs and Nazis. I even chuckled at the stupid idea Sooty Soot once wrote of Lysenko somehow coming over to America and being an R n D guy for the CIA (and makes Chris-Chan).

Also GoodWinSon is there a place to download your version of TNO? I'd like to see what was made so far and if I would add it to my own.

The irl Nazis seemed pretty ethnically focused on Germans or who they deemed to be aryans even viewing southern and eastern Europeans as lesser.

Not necessarily, the US is still written as the best force for the world, even in conflicts like Haiti where it's biased towards the communists, if the US wins it still can be seen as a positive outcome. The US backs the designated good guy faction in nearly every conflict with maybe West Africa or the oil wars (if you back Italy and have to back their regimes, that said if Italy sides with Japan, the US can back the Baathists and democratic factions).

The direction changed around 2022. During the Panzer era, America was still seen as AmeriKKKa and the only good options were the leftist options (aside from the DSR). I guess since 2022, Reddit now hates communism or something like that yeah because of RuZZia, which is why now they are pivoting hard to having America be the good guy. But only Neoliberal America, lol. Any Conservative (or even 'Neoconservative') America is still seen as AmeriKKKa.

Its also why you see them wanting to gut any of the Russian Warlords from having a happy ending, because now Reddit hates those damn filthy OrKKKs or something so now its time to punish them once and for all o algo by having Germany always win against those Asiatic Hordes no matter what. Or however else the TrooNO toozer of irrelevant Latinx Country #72738 o algo.

That's a racial thing, actually. The Nazis viewed the Germanic/Nordic race to be purest strain of the Aryan race, hence why they were working towards the Greater Germanic (Großgermanisches) Reich and not just a Greater German (Großdeutsches) Reich. The Nazis wanted to incorporate non-Germans, such as the Danes, Dutch, Norwegians, Swedes, and so forth as well into their united and pure racial state. Other Aryans, such as the Alpine and Mediterranean races, were seen as less pure and thus generally excluded.

German race autism got very strange at times though, and often depended a lot on semi-arbitrary decisions or the interpretation of racial ideals by different leaders. For example, in Danzig-West Prussia, the Gauleiter Albert Forster pursued a heavy Germanization program against the Poles, contrasting neighboring Wartheland, where Gauleiter Arthur Greiser pursued a much more destructive campaign of extermination against the Poles. Both approaches were tolerated by Hitler and when Himmler complained about it, Hitler told him to cope and seethe.

Fascism's more ethnically based ideas, on the other hand, were usually a lot simpler. Until he decided to play ball with Hitler, Fascist Italy recognized the existence of Italian Jews. Italian Arabs and Italian Blacks too could, albeit in limited numbers, even be found. Racism was still present, of course, but the distinctively racial aspect of the ideology didn't exist. Similarly, the Spanish Falangists even promoted the idea that what made Spain a superior nation was that it was a nation born from mixed races, while the Brazilian Integralists promoted the idea of a Brazilian nation composed of all races (except maybe Jews). For the Fascist movements, it was always though the Nation that held dominance, not the Race.

It might sound like a pedantic difference today, but the differences were deadly serious to the people of those regimes.

"Excluded" is too harsh of a term, considering that their own racial science determined slightly less than half of the German population was considered non-Nordic. (Not to mention the hipocrisy of promoting it while having people like Goebbels and Himmler in the government)
However, they did want to make Nordic traits dominant in the population (this even caused a certain fear among a few germans believing Nazis would make them second class citzens) through selective breeding.
Still, Non-Germanic "Aryans" were consistently seen as racially superior to Slavs, with the occupation of France being deliberately less cruel than Poland and the USSR (way less wartime causalities), Baltic peoples (Including Estonians in spite of them speaking a Uralic language) and others were treated far more leniently than any Slav nationality, including not being subject to the harsh punishments any male of foreign blood would suffer if he had sexual relations with a German woman.

That's because they believed that a specific portion of the alien peoples still had enough Aryan blood to be salvaged, and thus could be incorporated into the Greater Reich, some peoples had smaller portions than others (75% of Belarussians would be expelled or liquidated, 65% of Ukrainians, the rest being assimilated, racial suitability determined by their "scientific" analysis.) Hitler talked about sending "racially valuable military units" to reproduce with foreign women.
