As someone who has close to zero knowledge of the US legal system, can I ask - does Aaron have an option to renegotiate either the RO or the deal if he can point out that they are close to impossible to uphold together? Or is he just fucked?

It would really be up to Minnesota law as to what can be in a consent order. As it is, he signed it without negotiating the terms very well (that would be the doing of his lawyer). It also wouldn't undo the violation because you can't violate even an unconstitutional order without penalty.
