Sony hate thread

I thought the issue with the liquid metal was known since Day 1.
The issue is that every seal in every ps5 has a bit of a shelf date. Some of them might take 20 years to degrade, some of them might take 3 or 4. Intensive games that cause the cpu to heat up even more are likely to degrade it faster and lead to leaks and pooling. At launch, it was only the outright defective ones having issues, but we're far enough into the generation now that it's beginning to be a more noticeable issue as the clock inside every single ps5 just keeps ticking.

These dumb shits were crazy to think they could safely and reliably harness the power of liquid metal for a video game console. It never really works out too well.

didnt liquid metal turned to be a fad or something?
In a vacuum, it IS more efficient at heat transfer than traditional thermal paste. The issue is that regular thermal paste won't leak, and even if it does, it won't really do much. Liquid metal is unfeasible due to the fact it leaks easily and will short literally everything it touches due to you know, being metal, if it does leak.

The ps5's heating issues are just so horrendous they were willing to take that gamble.

Sony Says PlayStation Plus Engagement Has “Never Been Higher,” Still Won’t Add First-Party Games Day-One
>numbers tank and show a consistent decline for a long time
>Sony stop disclosing numbers
>Put out statement saying the numbers are great actually

but here's the reality from sites that actually track the numbers:
"The PS Plus Extra and Premium April 2025 lineup saw a 15.7% drop in active players compared to last month"
It's going down FASTER than ever despite declining for 2 straight years

There's basically two possibilities:

1) Sony is lying
2) Sony isn't lying, but Sonygoys don't actually play games despite paying for PS Plus.

I don't know which is funnier :story:

EDIT: Holy shit the PS Plus clownery keeps on coming - Sony Removes Games From PS Plus — Even Its Own Games — to 'Keep the Proposition Interesting and Help People Find New Games,' Says PlayStation Exec

First of all "80 collections of games" sounds fucking weird. Did they mean "a collection of 80 games" instead? Because if so, that is a fucking pitiful collection and it makes this "giving new games a chance to be noticed" crap even less legs to stand on when even braindead niggers can just browse the entire fucking catalogue with EASE.

No, this move is actually yet another fucking scummy way of forcing games no one fucking wants to play down people's faces, most likely the woke shit that everyone is fucking sick and tired of. Probably some shovelware thrown into the mix. Basically this is Sony's "the beatings will continue until morale improves" move.

The PS6 is going to be a thousand bucks the way things are going
The ps5 pro had a $300 price increase over the base model despite barely being any more powerful other than slightly more optimized PiSSeR ai upscaling. Since then, in many countries, it has gotten multiple price INCREASES. The ps5pro being $700 (disc drive and stand not included) was 100% to prime people for how expensive the ps6 is going to be.

"We're deliberately making a product you pay for even worse! Isn't that interesting?"

Retards. Absolute retards.

Paying for a service and having games just removed from the listings just to "make room" for other titles is not only fickle but absurd. How would that even work? Are they going to pull a Concord and forcefully uninstall the game from your console if it is in the "removal" list?

Imagine playing a game, taking a break then coming back to resume your session and the game is gone because Sony decided you should play something else.

Did they mean "a collection of 80 games" instead? Because if so, that is a fucking pitiful collection

They guy maybe misspoke or is a poorly worded PR statement. according to PS Plus Extra current listings they have 600+ games on the service.

Either way, if that number goes down instead of up. it is a damn joke.

The more I think about this, the more I realize this is like Netflix levels of stupidity

"oh what's that? You're sad that your favorite show is no longer available for streaming and they don't have it anywhere else? Too bad! Enjoy 'niggers bashing white people #435783465836547' instead!"

did you read it? because it's retarded as usual and just an excuse for some EU country grifting money out of a foreign company to fill their empty coffers based on retarded politics.

choice quote:
When you're locked into buying digital only content, like many who own a diskless PS5, then the only option you have is to suck it up and pay the price offered.
can you even imagine any judge going "you're right, you were retarded but it's still sony's fault, so fine time it is!".
I don't think even US courts are that dumb, and they deal with "it's company X's fault I'm fat!!!1"
