There's a quote from Terry Davis that perfectly encapsulates all that's wrong with Kojima and his fans.
"An idiot admires complexity, a genius admires simplicity, a physicist tries to make it simple, for an idiot anything the more complicated it is the more he will admire it, if you make something so clusterfucked he can't understand it he's gonna think you're a god cause you made it so complicated nobody can understand it. That's how they write journals in Academics, they try to make it so complicated people think you're a genius."
Part of the reason why a lot of Kojima's recent games have been utter train wrecks is that he has gotten rid of anyone who questions his stupid ideas, and thus has nobody to call out his convoluted nonsense.
Made worse because his fans, especially Geoff Keighley, are so willing to suck his dick, they make constantly make excuses for his terrible writing, even though he basically rip off the human instrumentality from Evangelion, no really, that's the big plot twist to Death Stranding 2.
But don't worry, thanks to Die-Hardman, who comes to save the day and brag about how humanity is going to strive, make love, and have babies, all the while singing about it.
I wish I was making this shit up but no this really happens in the game.
For some damn reason there's so many musical moments in this game about post apocalypse where the dead have come to fuck up the Earth, you'll end up in a final showdown with the main badguy, fighting him with high-tech guitars to the death.
