Just catching up reading the backstory in the OP. There must be some kind of chemical release in the brains of these people (this faggot, Vaush ect - who he reminds me of), which causes them to react the way they do in spite of them being very obviously wrong.

I can also see everyone getting ready to blame the entirety SKG failing on him. You can't emulate games where the vast majority of the game's data, including game assets, player data, and server-side logic, is all stored on servers. You literally can't archive some of these games because the data requires to run them isn't available for consumers to archive.

Ross' realistic approach to the campaign is acknowledging the need for compromise. Compelling companies to release source code is already yanking the rope too far to your end and the EU might dismiss it based on how partisan it is essentially. The current proposal is just to ensure games can become playable again after end of life, that's it. You're not asking too much but nor are you being so hyper specific that the law is pretty much worthless except in very specific use-cases. I don't think he's even asking for them to release source code, but that could be inferred maybe.
