it would be a monumental task to fake all the medical documentation he's shown over the years, and the way he talks about it and how detailed he can get about the procedures he's getting, the specific tests they're running and the protocol they have to go through before they do it if he's not sick he's putting in so much time and effort into research for this shit that he might as well become a doctor himself.

Besides, if he wasn't sick and he was only pretending to be for money it'd be a terrible strategy when he could almost certainly get more money out of his pay pigs by streaming low effort slop consistently than he would by taking off 6+ month at a time. you'd expect him to at least run a "medical bills" go fund me scam or something if he's that dedicated to the con.

I have only ever rarely listened to Metokur (though I thought he was very funny when roasting Fuentes and Ralph in that debate a few years ago), but I am honestly puzzled about this cancer situation. I haven't really researched it in detail (so I could have some details wrong) and I am inclined to believe that he has cancer, but something seems off when I hear that he has had some relatively rare and worsening form of cancer for 5+ years (and is not dead or noticeably infirm yet).

With all due respect, I don't think it is that difficult to fake a high level of scientific detail when discussing cancer procedures, tests, and protocols (provided that you have a decent IQ, good social ability, and the work ethic to do some research into cancer journal articles, pilot studies, emergent techniques, and cancer blogs where patients document their treatment process). Though, it would take an insane lack of shame, a gross lack of ethics, and a monumental dedication to keep the act up consistently and not have any slip-ups during livestreams (though he livestreams very infrequently and his income would entirely depend on his fans believing his diagnosis)

Faking genuine medical documents would be very difficult, given the amount of enemies and haters that he has procured over the years (including the autistic Groypers and the neurotic SJW types). If he photoshopped his name onto someone else's medical documents, I think some some sort of Groyper photoshop sperg would have noticed some sort of forensic evidence of image alteration (and called him out in an expose post on Twitter or here). I also doubt that he created his own counterfeit medical documents from a generic template, because I think that some highly autistic hater probably went through the trouble to acquire documents from the same lab or medical practice (and compared them to see if they were of the same likeness).

Based on the medical documentation alone, I'm inclined to believe that he has cancer (even with some of the oddities about this whole situation). Has anyone actually done a deep dive into this? I mean like a research journalist deep dive into it (not like an Owen Benjamin "deep dive" into Flat Earth by watching Bitchute videos for two days).

Jim is not really dying of cancer. Jim's cancer, cutaneous b-cell lymphoma, has a 95% 5-year survival rate and he's received radiation therapy for it. Aside from a few possible skin lesions, the cancer is practically asymptomatic. He has never claimed that it was cancer that was killing him. The doctors accidentally found it. He claims to suffer from a rare, undiagnosed autoimmune disorder that has given him two heart attacks, several fractured bones all over his body, temporary bouts of hearing loss, uncontrollable eye movements, etc. He's also been on steroids for an extended period of time which comes with a host of issues—like weight gain and osteoporosis, the reason his ribs and vertebrae are breaking under his own 500 lbs girth (weight unconfirmed). No doctor at Mayo Clinic, considered by many the No. 1 hospital in the United States, knows what his condition is and they want to send him to research medicine and study his genomics. The rarity of his case is why some speculate that he's either making shit up or that suffers from a severe case of Munchausen's. I think he could also be one of those types that goes to the doctor for every little thing and has developed symptoms just from all tests and drugs thrown at him.

I just saw this. The early stage cutaneous b-cell lymphoma sounds believable and would explain the oddities around his survival and relatively healthy sounding voice (though, from what I am reading, it is a relatively rare form of cancer: only 100 people are diagnosed with it each year in the UK).

The rare autoimmune disorder (that gave him heart attacks, bones bones, and hearing loss) that befuddles the top doctors at the Mayo Clinic is where it starts sounding like an episode of House MD (and where my bullshit detector starts ringing). While I’m sure autoimmune disorders probably have a higher than average correlation coefficient with lymphoma, the combined presence of these extremely rare comorbidities just makes me dubious (just out of the sheer statistical unlikelihood of someone having them)… especially when the person that claims to have them coincidentally also solicits donations online. Though, to be fair, Metokur’s donations are for his comedic streams (rather than GoFundMe beg sessions).

Of course, the human body is a complicated enigma, and someone genuinely experiencing tragically rare medical calamities is in the realm of possibility. But, the rare autoimmune disorder and heart attacks/broken bones sound like they have some element of exaggeration (though I don’t think it rises to Nick Rekieta levels of outright junkie Munchausen fabrication, where he claims he has insomnia, narcolepsy, and autobrewery syndrome). Has Metokur provided medical documentation of all of these autoimmune incidents too?
