Was it confirmed that the guy was a paedophile? I thought he was just a diaperfur. Don't get me wrong, it wouldn't surprise me if he was.

Who's the guy we are even talking about here? a claim as extreme as someone protected a pedo needs evidence and I can't find anything showing that.

So IIRC he had a friend who was a tranny diaperfur. When he died he did an "in loving memory" thing at the end of the Deep Blue video (I think). Don't know anything about him being a pedophile.
 
Ever notice how almost literally every kid that looks like Fred goes through the same arc where they start out very promising and then have a mental breakdown they never really recover from over one or a small series of overly ambitious projects that don't go well?

I think it's a somewhat tragic irony that young guys with the raw talent and passion to make stuff as good as Fred and Spoony's best work don't necessarily have the mind to prosper without some form of wrangler while the solitary and perfectionist nature of their field tends to erode their patience for external accountability and thus make it even less likely that they'll have one. If instead of YouTube they were climbing a more structured environment they'd at least be guaranteed to end up in the same rooms as people who will direct and influence them, good or bad.
