6-3 Alito writing libcucks dissenting

The court first holds that the parents are likely to succeed on their claim that the policy of not allowing opt-outs unconstitutionally burdens their exercise of their religion.
“we have long recognized," Alito writes, "the rights of parents to direct 'the religious upbringing' of their children. And we have held that those rights are violated by government policies that substantially interfere with the religious development of children."

Sotomayor: The reverberations of the Court’s error will be felt, I fear, for generations. Unable to condone that grave misjudgment, I dissent.

if you want to live together, live together. no one's stopping you. i don't understand why there isn't a tax situation for roommates or homosexuals or whatever, just people who aren't married but live together long-term, especially if they have mingled finances.

people have the way they think about marriage backwards. they think that marriage is just one of many potential arrangements to deal with property and taxes and everything else that interfaces with the government.

no. marriage is the only voluntary personal association you can easily enter into with another adult that requires the government to deal with more than one person as a unit. Modern Western government wants to deal with every individual as an atomized single entity. This is so basic to how we do things in the West that it can be hard for us to see it but it's one of the fundamental things that makes the West Western - we come before the state as individuals, not as members of collectives, and we deal with the state directly, not mediated by something like the Ottoman millet system. The huge exception, the one that affects normal people in their normal lives, is marriage. The state has no interest in extending your ability to do this, the only reason it happened with fag marriage is the fundamental attitude towards the individual baked into the culture - in the West you are an individual before you are a man or a woman. No one is getting granted any rights or privileges for being roommates, or domestic employees, or super good buds, ever.

So, if not birth, what determines citizenship? Does every potential American citizen have to pass a test like a new immigrant would? At what point in their life? These are sincere questions. I'm having trouble envisioning it.
You're mixing up jus sanguinis and jus soli. In English they're both called birthright citizenship, but they aren't the same thing. People want to get rid of or restrict the latter, not the former. This means children of American citizens would always have American citizenship no matter where they're born, but children of non-citizens who happen to be born on American soil would have to go through the process of obtaining citizenship.

Is it trolling at this point?
Idk, about that dude, but from first hand experience screening and interviewing candidates, the group that is much under ~33 right now legit think that typing with their thumbs and accessing everything through an app, "in the cloud" on someone else's computer, constitutes technological literacy.

What's a directory structure? SQL query? Zip a file? Text formatting? Oh! I have a web app that I can upload the proprietary, federally regulated information to in order to format the text!

iTunes, Netflix, Steam sales and smartphones fuckin' murdered computer literacy.

What's next? You will force all women to walk in hijabs? The LGBTQ+ classes don't harm anyone. People should be aware that minorities exist. You have no idea how many people there were who didn't know how to come to terms with their gayness and transness until recently. You can't just remove people's hope for a safe life.
There is nothing wrong with LGBTQ+ classes as long as the teachers also agree to teach the kids about the rates of STDs, rectal prolapse, rectal cancer, non-monogamy, drug abuse, childhood sexual abuse etc. among homosexuals and transsexuals.

Making everything "user friendly" had consequences.

But how will this effect gays for Palestine 🤔
They'll completely ignore it.

Like how they're all currently endorsing a pro Sharia Law (Sharia law solution for homosexuality? DEATH) Islamist commie for NYC mayor.

Speaking as based lesbian ⭐ (i.e. a real lesbian born a woman/never fucked a dude) Gays for Palestine divide by zero when you point out the logical fallacies of their support for a group that will enthusiastically toss them from the highest roof. Heck, last time I did that (while drunk) I was called a racist. Mind you, I'm not even white! (Sqaw, with a high blood quantum/not white passing).

If forcing everyone to use tor to access porn is the solution, you're only gonna catch the really dumb folks. Which, might work I guess. Kids who grew up with smart phones have no idea how regular pcs work. Apparently.

They really don't. iPad kids don't know the difference between RAM and ROM. Those of us that actually grew up with the technology pretty much know work arounds for a lot of shit that the government forces on its dumb as shit populace. I'm honestly pretty okay with paying a VPN service for the occasional wank material.

this is a stepping stone to fag marriage, over the last 20 years most of those countries just end up with full fag marriage
As a lesbian, I never really understood why Civil Unions specifically had to be changed to "Marriage". To me, marriage seems more like a religious concept, and a civil union (with all the legal benefits of a marriage) is no different. Forcing the state to define "Gay Marriage" as a thing, feels like the state interfering with religion, if that makes any sense?

There is a sweet spot age range that falls between mid Gen-X to mid Millennial where most people retain both the skill to figure things out on their own while being technologically literate and current enough to apply it to today's systems.

Too early, and you're a fucking retard on blood thinners. Too late, and you're a retard on Adderal and HRT.

Or get a job. My employer has my ID. So does the bank. Both could mega fuck me instantly. Having ID for Porn makes sense. It's digital crack and just as harmful
ok but if some state wants to mark KF as an adult site that shouldn't accessible to minors and needs an id check this ruling allows them to do
so. MtG still thinks we swatted her
you have to look at all scotus rulings through the lens of "will this fuck me and my interests?" and not "i scored an ideological goal"
