The trapping Aaron in a civil suit where he either has to break the HRO and mention Kayla, or stay silent and lose bit had me reevaluating Nick's incompetency as a lawyer.

I still don't understand how such a situation is possible. Surely his lawyer can explain the situation to the judge(s) involved in both cases and obtain a special exception to bring up Kayla specifically for the sake of dealing with the civil lawsuit? Maybe seal the case so that these mentions remain private and "further damage to her reputation" (lol) isn't possible? Does the legal system really allow a case where you are simply not allowed to defend yourself without getting into more trouble?

So this supposed lawyer received the HRO, immediately tweeted about it, asked for “le academics” on the Internet to help him clip the subject of the HRO—offering a thousand dollars—and then went on Melton’s show to discuss it without even taking a day to think things through.
