The day before he was going to start the job he was on his front porch talking with his girlfriend. The next day when he started he was shown a file with all of his background, in that file was a picture of him with his girlfriend on the front porch.

I was under the impression that Dobbro was trying to get a government job and Dobson being Dobson cost him that chance. Regardless, if you work for the government in any capacity they'll get on you if you have family saying or doing stupid things.

That's my theory. He was posting comments on youtube under his own account after he 'quit the internet' and we didn't notice for months because no one thought to look. He wasn't unhinged enough to get the law involved, and I doubt he would have been incarcerated or put into an autism halfway house like Jonathan Ross. But he's too unhinged and autistic to hold down a job for long. Like the Simpsons said, too crazy for Boy's Town, too much of a boy for Crazy Town.

If his parents die, he might slip up and return, but I think at this point his dreams of being a well paid artist and animator have been crushed by his laziness and inability to take criticism. As long as he doesn't post any art, we'll never know it's him.

The mystery of Vanishing Dobson is possibly unique; every cow mentioned on this site would be better off leaving the Internet for good, but only Dobson seems to have pulled it off.
I'm sure having Dobson as a relative is not a plus when applying for a high-level security job. I still find it difficult to believe he actually had an affect on his brother's career, but I could easily imagine his family thinking he did.

I think he's a unique cow because had he done what he did a few years later, people would have praised him for at least a little bit. He was a proto-social media wokester and it was too early; everyone saw him for the gross opportunist that he was. Now there is no shortage of lazy, arrogant artists on social media who espouse whatever left-wing position they think will get them ahead.

He was doing it at the right time, and a couple of his comics went viral, like his one about compromising. The problem for Andy was that this never translated into money. No one was coming to his site, they were just reposting his comics without acknowledging him or buying his old books. That's part of why he quit deviantart, in his blog at the end, he pointed out that he had received millions of hits, had gotten on the front page multiple times, and yet none of the people coming to his page gave him any money for it.

Of course he never put in the work required to be a full time artist, but this is Dobson. He believes any work he does, no matter how half-assed, should earn him bundles of cash.

I actually like it quite a bit. I never hardcore followed this thread while Dobson was online so I'm learning stuff I didn't learn in Dylan's doc which surprised me. GFM is a high quality channel imho. He made what I consider the only good CWC doc because he understands pacing unlike GenoSamuel.
Now why he has series about pornstars no idea but eh, good enough background noise for someone who likes to learn about weird people. I'm at work so I can't archive this video right now if someone could I'd appreciate it thank you.

He goes into more of Dobson's DA journal rants which I find fascinating. I had never heard the ones he wrote sperging about his airline jobs.
Like I said if you're a certified Dobson expert then you probably know all the stories but for those not in the know it's entertaining. Highlights include GFM laughing his ass off trying to read certain strips as deadpan as possible which made me smile.
