That was...actually decent.

Like even the twist was genuinely funny.
The ending was the funniest part not going to lie. Everything else was just...meh.
I'll give viv credit she went with the second most obvious joke instead of the first one
Give Lyle Rath the credit, not Viv. He wrote this short. Explains the ending too.

Oh shit new writer and it's an Oneyplays guy

Given Cusack voices Mammon and Viv got Lyle, how long till Viv gets Zach Hadel on the show

Anyway the short was pretty funny

Zach has been in the show. With Mammons first appearance he was background noise of the crowd screaming and when Ozzie tells the people he loves Fizz. You can hear Zach audibly say"I knew it!"

Definitely one of the better shorts. Probably the thing I'd give especial credit for is how they handle the hesitation on killing the target. Even though Mr. Wrigglers hit Loona emotionally, causing her to be more accommodating towards him despite Blitzo's protest, it doesn't present I.M.P. as morally wrong for having to kill him.

Oh, and Lyle Rath voiced the TV director from Seeing Stars who got burned by the blink-and-you-miss acid L.A. water. Wasn't expecting him to be part of the writing team.

Yeah hopefully he gets something more substantial though than just a background role.

Gotta give credit, I never thought they would actually have IMP kill someone who didn't deserve it (I thought the ending twist would be he's actually some sick pedophile).
Ehhhhh. I didn't think it was funny. Maybe its just me but it would be funnier if Blitzo acted like a child, maybe not refrence other better shows than yours (KotH, Mr. Rodgers, others.) Kind of cheapens the series a bit like you can't creatively make your own thing so you have to steal or refrence others that surpass you by miles.

Lore wise this also doesn't make too much sense as they don't even talk about or show the client for us to understand why he has a hit on him (so how can we root for the characters if the guy is pretty much perfect in every way so no grey morality.) Luke why did the guy need to get wacked other then being petty for.... what exactly?

Being showed up in highschool? What did they mean by that could be anything from that description. Took my pencil, didn't go to prom with me, what do they mean by that?

They should try to change their characters they play on earth for missions to make their selves more interesting, and to show that they are experienced in their profession to "blend in". So he should act more like a child, shouldn't the client be like. "Huh, thats weird that a child is taking about Satans asshole? Why does he sound like a grown man?" Maybe say something like hes a child who got reconstruction surgery from severe burns. (Causing his voice to be harsh and his skin to look like that/that he looks weird.) But, whatever.

I think this was ok, but thats it. Just okay, leaning to lack luster for me.

It was ok, its biggest crime is that it plays out exactly as you would expect.

She has actually described Angel's brother to sound very similar to Zach and I remember her announcing a few weeks ago that she found his voice actor, time will tell. But now, who should Cory voice?

All it needed was blitz to mention, "the client says he's the only one who never got adopted either with his help or by him directly. '" come on vivzie didn't you and your theater clique ask "what's my motivation?" All the time in high school drama club? Give us a motivation.

The joke doesn't really work when you keep making the targets utterly harmless. First you got Emberlynn whose crime was writing bad fanfiction and now this dude whose entire shtick is that he's genuinely a nice guy. It just makes you want to see IMP lose really.
It managed to make the fanboys in the Reddit thread cry, so I'll consider it a win.

I mean the joke works if Helluva Boss stuck to being a dark mean spirited comedy instead of becoming a drama show where we are meant to see these people as good samaritans.

Blame fanon. Alastor is pretty much written in response to how people hype him up as this S-tier badass that can one shot anyone, so now his character revolves on how he realizes that he's not the fearmonger he or fans think he is.
I'd say the problem is that the Overlords weren't established during the pilot, and the only other antagonist was Sir Pentious, making Alastor look stronger by comparison.
I dislike this tall creature. Its smug aura mocks me.
