They talked about how they did this for season 1, they had to pay a patrol car to sit down the street from the house. IDK the exact logistics of it but in some areas its a service you can pay for, no idea why they didnt keep up with it.
I saw someone mention Sam had laughed about how he hadn't bothered buying insurance for the project, so I'd assume they were being cheap about things figuring these steps were unnecessary.

Doesn't seem like the smartest move, but these are guys used to doing youtube/kick streams so probably figured they were keeping things economical and could make more cash this way. Paying for insurance, security, staff, and so on would all be money flying out of their pockets (in their eyes) rather than cost of doing business.

I guess this is why they got kicked out.

Specifically the S2 house in case anybody was wondering or had just been absent the last 27 hours.

Based on the sign it's condemned for lacking emergency exits in the basement, so people can climb out of the windows in an emergency. As it is the basement does not have those. My understanding is normally these are grandfathered out for old construction like the S2 house, unless perhaps the county/state really doesn't want you there.

Honestly this is the most sensible outcome, they posted videos of the foundation gushing violently after rainfall and they had plans to leave people in there for days during a time of year when the weather flies back and forth between blazing sun and thunderstorms. If anything the S2 house should've been used as storage and offices and not the big S3 one because what did they expect leaving evidence up like that.

straight up witch hunt

my question is how much of this do we put on Sam and Jet. Sam's been saying anti jew nigger shit for years and leftists didn't just spring up. The contingency plan for this seems to be "aw jeez dood we gonna fix it dood check my supplement company out"
He's mostly always hidden it with "jokes." On the Bradley Martin podcast he straight up said "Yes" when Mayhem asked if he is antisemitic. No idea if that's the reason the boomer reported him but it is different.

So it was just gay legalese. The city still had it out for them.

They must despise the wiggers. Getting an inspector out there to condemn the house, at like 6pm on a Friday? Due to a lack of escapes in the basement? That’s insane. Neighbors must have seen them pull up 20 deep and informed the town council.

Edit: Don’t fuck with cats chickens, or something, I guess.

It's not sensible at all. If you want to livestream 8 retards living in your basement thats your God given right that some retard Boomer shouldn't be able to ruin

What do you think would be the minimum amount of high speed internet needed to run Fishtank? You're streaming about 8 to 10 cameras to 10,000-20,000 people at any given time. The quality has to be a minimum of 720p probably. I don't know much about this type of stuff but
Do you really think the house's residential internet itself is streaming to 10,000-20,000 people?

@Local Wordmason i love how the fishtank subreddit never shows the usernames
I've seen someone copy and paste things I've said directly to Xitter and it's more bizarre than anything. Then there's the added layer of "did I say that or am I going crazy?" for platforms that are more ethereal.

im convinced that its somewhat political. New England liberals are among the most obnoxious. a racist, nazi reality show in OUR neighborhood? time to go full Karen mode. call the police, condemn the house!

I don't see how fishtank is any different than people streaming video games on twitch from a legal perspective. If Asmongold got swatted 6 times in two weeks would the cops ever slap charges on him and force him to stop streaming?

They should just go to a new town and have a computer in the corner and force at least one fish to play Minecraft at all times. That way then the cops show up you could just show them that set up so they understand. Cops are aware of swatting now and I've never heard of a streamer being forced to stop streaming by the cops before.
I wonder if you can somehow put multiple people's names as tenants on the house. Make them pay a small fee as well as "rent", even just a stupid amount like $50 for 1 month tenancy (from the contestant's side, consider it an entry fee), so they would be considered residents and not guests. Then, it's just residents streaming on a webcam in their own house. I'm retarded and have no life experience btw so sorry if this is a retarded idea.

Thread tourist opinion:
I find fishtank gross and this one single instance of oy vey shut it down justified. Maybe one of the participants is related to the swatter, imagine how you would feel if your kid was participating.
If you are related to anyone participating and feels they are being demeaned you should unironically kill yourself. People go on this show because they totally lack support infrastructure to try and pursue their career or have existing issues.

To then sit there high and mighty after neglecting your kin takes a narcissist boomer of the highest order. Sitting in judgement and deciding that swatting the house, because you are upset that family members you couldn't give less of a fuck about, is the correct course of action could be the dumbest unaware thing you could do.

I would recommend you go look into the videos of The Station club fire and take a gander at what state it occurred in. The state is going to ass fuck them for trying to stuff 8 people into an area with a single exit and possible way of escaping out the basement windows, particularly since the fish were actually barricading that exit at times. These kind of window exits are mandatory now as part of building code and would require an excavator and masonry crew to install in a process that would take a week or more. Nobody is going to dig that shit out by hand, enlarge the windows and pour the concrete without power tools so they're looking at a 5-10k job on top of getting condemned out of the house.

>In basements, egress windows are essential and, if there is a bedroom, they are required by law in the State of Rhode Island [ L ]

owner occupied (no transients, renters, tenants, airbnb) they don’t have any cause to go peeking in your basement to see if there’s a bedroom. now you have all these boarders and mattresses in the basement. so it’s a bedroom. law and code enforcement applies.

I’ve seen this before: domestic violence call at a rental unit, cops saw a 6” gap in the floor straight to the basement around the doorframe and they told the city. got condemned and it’s still vacant several years later. [the police and neighbors were all a little tired of repeat calls about Sid and Nancy over there and said police just did it to get rid of them.]
