I'm not sure that the Family is involved, but it sure stinks of someone calling in some favors and/or pulling some journalistic strings to wage a PR campaign.
I can think of several ballwashers and shit-stirrers who might fit the bill, and this is not the first time that the press has been used to advance someone's interests in the case of Degenerate vs Idiot.
