People apologize and waffle about it because they can see there are a lot of autists online that have no idea that some people have awkward moments, and that if you harp on those moments forever without any forgiveness you make that person and yourself worse off. I have heard this argument, that vtubing is all about anonymity, just like Sargon! What I find is that many women online want all the anonymity to shield them from the reality of being a woman on the Internet but want to keep all of the benefits of being a woman on the Internet. Men aren't getting viewers and money doing nothing. So we get giant shaking tits, anime coddling, pedophile enabling, sexualized overtones, etc... Why can't anime vtubers just be a blue blob or a talking rock? Because many women actually want the attention and money.

Also, Jpeg avatars where more of a way to create video format filler for what was a podcast with some video elements. It might also provide anonymity but they are not the same.

Jade isn't into it for the bag. I really doubt metokur makes enough to build the nest egg he claims he will leave Jade. It really makes all of this rather worse. Its hard not to feel bad for her.
