Death Stranding - Hideous Kojumbo does it again

I was optimistic about this game, but the last few trailers kinda made me cringe a little bit with the puppet character and a couple minor things. But what made me hold off buying the game was the whole “gun culture” line, and reviewers praising the games critique of guns culture. What is the extent of this criticism since I couldn’t find a lot on it online?

I just don't understand how putting in every random brainfart you have into a game is considered "genius."

DS1 at least took itself seriously to a degree, but this is just nonsense dreck for retards to pretend they're smart. It'll be long forgotten when Delta pushes it's shit in.
Yea outside of the pizza delivery missions DS1 for the most part had a serious tone and played it straight.

This one has Dollman and Farty Pants Man and Vtuber shit everywhere.

Kojima needs an editor so fucking badly.

This is the kind of thing that's been established for books and movies; games must still be too new an industry to have realized that an auteur does best with a good wrangler.

These are cool video game ideas that people will enjoy. These are ideas for you to take to your pal Junji Ito and co-write a short story. This is foot fetish and you need to keep that in your personal Dropbox.

The setting is also really fucking stupid. It's post apocalyptic but also post scarcity? Like matter fabricators exist and are commonplace so no one is in any danger of starving. Fuck it's canon that this "post apocalyptic" world has fucking Uber eats, it makes no fucking sense.

I'm playing Stellar Blade right now which is a silly coomer game where the protagonist walks around with her tits and pussy out and even in that game the people in the post apocalyptic setting are concerned about food shortages and failing generators and shit.

What was even the original concept? He said he rewrote the whole thing because "oof teh coofsies og game got too deus ex esque such yikes".

The thing never truly explained about the Dead Stranding setting is its near-future sci-fi technology level combined with a near-persistent apocalyptic threat that probably has reduced humanity's total population to a few million or so (each surviving US city is around 50K population), that somehow hasn't been automated out of existence and can still wipe cities with ease.

Honestly the setting is probably just a delivery vehicle for whatever weirdness Kojima thinks up.

The polycuck urinalists love death stranding 2, GOTY contender for Geoff Keighleys game awards incoming:story:

Death Stranding 2 is way more enjoyable if you skip all the boss fights (archive.ph)

Part of this I would write off an Game journalists being terrible at games but I am playing the game (yes im a consoomer) and they are pretty bad. Your movement becomes totally sluggish in the tar. Every time you are hit your gear gets knocked off and there is zero stakes to it as Sam just respawns with zero consequences when you die. The cherry on top is the game gives you the option to "pretend that you won" and just skip the boss fights if you die.

They put no thought or effort into these fights. They just know they were bad but it was probably part of Kojima's "vision" so it had to be in there. The devs mercifully gave you the option to skip though.

I do like the deliveries and the open world is more beautiful for than the first game. Its still a 7/10 game though dont be like me and wait for a sale if you are interested

I have no idea how far I am but I'd assume nearing 50 percent and so far only one fag who makes music said something about "guns scary wish we didn't have to use them." If there truly is an anti gun message, it rings hollow when Norman Reedus and funky fetus are popping caps with all the new combat implements and enemy camps.

I haven't played the game and I likely won't but I watched a few YouTube videos posted on it. It makes me wonder: what if Kojima is simply seeing how much dumb shit he can put in a game and still get people to suck his cock over it? Part of me wishes that were true but I think the reality is that he fancies himself some sort of auteur filmmaker who just couldn't break into film so he makes fucking gayass movie games.

He definitely needs to be told "no." One would think people would learn from the Star Wars prequels about how huffing your own farts leads to mediocre execution.

If getting cargo from point A to point B without being damaged is so critical why doesn't BRIDGES sent the chick that literally has teleportation powers and can teleport instead of John Death Stranding?

Plot reasons, you can't move heavy items due to how the teleportation powers work due to needing it be a living breathing person for the teleportation to work IIRC, corpo life has ruined cutscenes for me cause it feels like I'm in another meeting.

Is that a plot retcon? Fragile was a porter in DS1.

1. It takes a heavy toll on her body (I guess?)
2. She's dead in the second game and only holds on until they get Lou back. Then she fully dies.
