Kiana Khansmith is a walking DEI checklist and I can't stand looking at her tumblr chungus dykeslop "art".
Looked that up, as expected it was the “I don’t want to be a magical girl” artist.
Honestly, the ironic/subversive magical girl shows have gotten old. It turned from stale to rotten when Magical Girl Friendship Squad came out. Is anyone else just getting really sick of everything trying to be ironic or subversive, making you wonder if the writers were embarrassed by what they were creating? (:_(

Nope. At best they're a redo of better works, at worst it has the usual Netflix drivel: A girl-character that stands out like a sore thumb (complete with unique jean-style pants because fuck having the self-insert in a skirt! At least she barely does much instead of dominating the plot), a nigress with afro shoved at gunpoint, the friendly druid that helped Panoramix is now a goth-style woman with the lesbian haircut, etc.
Thanks for the heads up, I dropped the series a while ago by the second episode when I saw that Roman OC. already sniffed the netflix faggotry from a mile away. Good thing I pirated the whole mini series beforehand instead of giving Netflix a view for desecrating Goscinny and Urdezo's great works. I guess I'll just clean those off my hard drive now.

Hey, eurokiwis, how much would you wager that the upcoming Asterix: The Kingdom of Nubia will be pozzed as fuck?

Tell you what, i will watch the first one with the lady, if it sucks, that means you suck
Guaranteed, Asterix & Obelix contre Cesar is a good live action movie or I'll watch the Au Service de Sa Majesté movie as punishment if you're disappointed.

ETA so I don't doublepost:

That's me when I watched the stupid Devil may Cry Netflix cartoon. They ruined Lady, Dante, and basically everything for me with that jeet hack did to the IP

More like they think they can do better than their inspirations by inserting in more gay characters and "relatable personalities" (which is just snarky quirky teenagers). They're mainly embarrassed by how naïve they were as children, back when children were more imaginative and optimistic but they're looking back on those days with rose-tinted glasses as nihilistic adults. All of these womenchildren who claim to be magical girl fans would in reality never wish to be caught dead as a magical girl because they literally don't believe in magic unless it's gay.

And that's why their "homages" come off as bitter and forced, there's no real love and reverence to be had.

There is a plot point where a side character is calling out the main villain for what he told them to do to the good guys. So the bad guy is Trapped a d needs to lie to this Character, that's not the problem, the problem is when the villain says" well uuuuuuuh.. see you were to fucking retarded to understand what I was asking you to do" and the third character in the scene is like "I mean you are a fucking retard so I don't trust your correct."
Holy shit
Are you saying the third character was agreeing with the villain on how dumb the side character was?

Was it supposed to be like a marvel style quip? "Dude you're embarrassing me in front of the wizard" type of thing?

There is a fart fetishist tranny elf who is in a romantic relationship with someone who tried to genocide HER entire race only a few years ago, a lesbian relationship between a human MUTE/DEAF GENERAL (fucking stupid) and a nigger elf queen who were trying to kill each other just a few years ago, and an adopted child queen mary sue of two (thankfully) dead lesbian queens (I do not know how any of that works either) in the later seasons. Its impressive how much worse an already bad show could get.
Wait are you serious? I just hit SJW bingo.

On two different cards!

I've also read this twice - sober AND drunk - and I'm still not sure what it says.

That's a great question! I think i wrote earlier in this thread that i think it will be either a lovely honoring for Coscinny & Uderzo's lovely way of portraying other cultures, even if the black faces are really black faces. But yeah, if they let Netflix and Wokeness steer the ship it will SUCK FUCKING BALLS and i will feel real hate towards whoever responsible. The black insert in the mini series didn't pull me off too much, she had a cute name (Hanna Barbera) but yeah, a little Girl boss. But what will happen when it's ALL black culture? I'm going MATI just thinking about how everyone there will be cool and nice just as the Gaull's themselves, they'll have a black old guy kicking ass like that Monkey Dipshit in Lion King. And the bad guys will be white slavers or something. Just imagine how much that would suck.

Let's pray, Eurokiwis. By Teutates!

I can't find the scene on Youtube so let's see if my memory holds up. Iirc it's when Viren (the main antagonist) is imprisoned and he tells Soren and Claudia (his two children) to kill the two protagonists. When they fail and confront their father about it, he tries to gaslight them into believing he never told them to kill the princes. Soren doesn't fall for it but he's the comic relief character, so Claudia believes it and throws her brother under the bus.

So yes, Claudia ended up agreeing with Viren on Soren being too stupid to realize what was said, but it's played as a serious moment and it's what causes Soren to defect to the protagonists' side.

It wasn't a quip it was a real plot point, the villain gets to continue getting away with it because he says his son is too retarded to understand his command.

It's so bad that I can't let it go my dudes holy shit.

At this rate, they might be even able to force porn out of shows who didn't get further than the pilot episode....

The Modifyers is one of the few Nickelodeon pilots that I'm somewhat disappointed wasn't picked up, and it's also a shame it was overshadowed by the NSFW "parody".
It looked like a lot of fun, and the weird dieselpunk 60s aesthetic was so unique. But now of course Nick would never even consider revisiting it BECAUSE of that porn parody. The (porn's) creator, Zone, has this weird ability to make porn parodies (Modifyers, My Life As A Teenage Robot, Ankha from Animal Crossing) that become so popular that even normal people online catch wind of them. It's like he sold his soul for popularity or something.

Welp, I almost got into a pointless argument against my better judgement. But now I’m curious, can anyone here confirm if kids actually watch all the beanmouth cartoons that are coming out in this era (ie Steven Universe, Primos, Craig of the Creek)?

I can confirm they do not. They like things like TTG and despise the likes of SU. SU and bean mouth are for College girls that actually like it, and guys that are starved for any form of animation that have yet to watch anime. I think the reason is TTG does not lie to them about what it is. SU does, and they can feel it. edit(Source young family members and their friends)

Speaking of Lost Media hoarding, here's 9 episodes of "The Duck Factory", as aired 35 years ago on HA! TV Comedy Network...
I had some episodes on VHS as a kid at one time. The show itself is pretty boring and unfunny.
