Personally I don't see a reason to actually judge somebody for their subjective taste on these things. I've thoroughly enjoyed plenty of stories and games that other people might consider mediocre or trash and a lot of the times I can't even blame them (I'm a Deadly Premonition fan, trust me, I get it).

So I'm not going to judge Lily on the merits of this list, especially when I'm not familiar with quite a few of them myself. But I guess a number are Nami games so that explains pretty much everything up front about them-- cute art, soft lesbians, easy targets.

Tales of Phantasia is a standout. Given how old that title is I'm guessing it's a nostalgia thing, I really can't imagine most older Tales games appealing to Lily unless they're something she played as a child.

I'm surprised to see Dust on there. I'm thinking back on it and quite sure what about it would appeal to Lily-- maybe the gameplay? You can get comically OP and annihilate whole screens of enemies if you know the right moves and pump the right stats. But the characters are all cute furries and there are roughly zero known lesbians, and I doubt she'd be impressed by the story.

NIER and NieR: Automata; Threads of Fate; Deadly Premonition; Tales of the Abyss; Ratchet and Clank (as a series, but especially UYA and Crack in Time); Silent Hill 2 (original and remake are both excellent); Yakuza/Like a Dragon (as a series, don't make me pick just one) and its little brother Lost Judgment; FF-XII is my favorite of the series but I have a major soft spot for IX and X; I've put more hours into Persona 3, 4, and 5 than I care to admit and each of them attracts me for a different reason. Sonic 2 was the first game I ever played and I've kept up with that series my whole life. And while there are objectively better Pokemon games since Red/Blue, those two hold a very special in my heart and still feel like adventures in the the way the more polished sequels don't. Really loved Ghost of Tsushima and looking forward to Ghost of Yotei.

Playing Expedition 33 right now and I expect that's going to wind up on my list, too. It's basically everything I want in an RPG with a beautiful coat of paint. If you pardon the pun.

For some overlap here I do thoroughly enjoy KH1 and 2 -- 1 is a delight to explore and I keep finding new things every time I go through it, and 2 is just a blast to actually play, it really hits that sweet spot of low barrier of entry with a high skill ceiling -- but tapped out with all the secondary games and never touched 3 personally.

My guess for the video is it'll be a few minutes of vaguely speed running one or two generic compliments for most of the games, but then spinning off to talk about how other games are so much worse/ruined franchises. More specifically, I think the biggest talking points will be:

Darksouls is inferior to KH/KH is actually the harder of the series
BG3 is bad/horny
Star Wars sucks for reasons that make Peet look like a sociopath and butchering the very simplistic morality in the Star Wars games
Vague complaints about games having too much story/unskippable cutscenes

My bonus point prediction is he'll somehow find a way to make a passive aggressive remark about Mikay's tastes when discussing DMC, something like "I guess this is okay if you can't handle something more advanced (probably KH)"

You were close, the KH series, as a whole I guess, ranks as her 2nd favorite game ever, right behind Baldur's Gate 1 & 2.

Complaining about VG fandom is a given, which seems unnecessary since this is a favorite games list, it should just be why they mean something to her.
I should check the stream from last night she was editing this video together, it looks like she finished it already.

I'm surprised The Old Republic didn't make the top 5, given it's what fuels her odd Sith obsession.

Even when she has something good to say, she has to tie it back to something she hates. The example that stands out the most to me is when she talked about one of her favorite episodes of The Owl House, using it as an excuse to whine about Luz not being a perfect badass in later seasons.

Peet doesn't understand how good works. They related good to a certain group instead of doing it without any reward. How standing by is simply not the right thing to do. It doesn't matter if you liked them, or not. Good is understanding the meaning of life, and how precious it is to be, to simply let it be lost because of pettiness. Nor do they understand how redemption is not predetermined. It's a path of self reflection, and atonement about the actions one made.

It's why Peet fucking hates Christie Golden because it's a gigantic "No, you dumb fuck. Sylvanas did bad stuff, and nothing you say will change the fact that people can atone for their sins for being wrong." I don't doubt Peet knows the basic concept of it. It's the fact they have to accept they fucked up that angers this piece of shit because their narcissism and anger to accept it is their fault drives them.

Being good involves showing compassion for others, even when it doesn't benefit you. Lily is like Chris-Chan in that she only does things if she gets rewarded in some way.

It's why she finds characters like Aang, Steven, Adora, and Luz irritating. The idea of someone being idealistic enough to see good in the worst of people is something she doesn't get.

Even when she sympathises with villains like Magneto, Kuvira, and Sylvanas, it's less because she understands the pain they've gone through, but because she agrees with their extremist mindset.

That said, I find it funny that most of these games don't get out from the 2000s to 2010s with some exceptions by association instead of willingness. Keep showing you never grew up from being a kid, asshole.

Huh I find it funny how Lily has Series for KH and Baldur’s Gate but the list is padded out mostly by Nomnami games.

Again this just shows that even when she tries to say “I’ve played a lot of different games” she still proves her limited media diet.

And there’s nothing inherently wrong with having a series pad out your favorites list if you’re a fan… but at least try to show you dabble in different genres than just… Disney game, baby game, surprise edgy game, and cozy visual novel.

But regularly sleeping during 16 hours is most definitely not healthy. The issue is asking if she had a schedule like that before coming to live with Liliana or that happened only when being there. Maybe she's pretending to be sleeping just so she has to interact with Liliana less and doesn't have to hear her.

Likely because it was popular. Lily likes popular things if they're part of her childhood (Kingdom Hearts, Pokemon, Star Wars), but is super contrarian once the never-ending tween rebellion phase came in. Bronies were seen as an outlier/underdog for at least a year or two iirc, plus it was simple enough for Lily to get into. For Undertale/Deltarune, everyone got into it and Lily hates following trends. My guess is if Lily got into it, she'd make a video like the SU critique where a tsunami of hardcore and casual fans would bitch her out for misunderstanding or misconstruing something. It'a a bullet dodged on Lily's sidd to be honest.

Beyond that, I think it doesn't have obvious or girly enough furries for her. You got that fish woman/dino woman pair in Undertale, but I'm genuinely guessing they're not feminine enough for Lily's tastes. Lily likes "butches", but not a butch that doesn't have like fabulous hair and eyelashes and at least some sort of curve and such. I'm going after her taste in gardivor, ponies, and Mikay's genderbends.

Lily isn't much into meta narrative, and that's the plot of the original undertale game, it's a game that judges the player for the actions they take in a meta sense. Undertale's morals are also pretty black and white, which means there isn't really any reason to be contrarian over it, it's a game where you kill stuff or you don't. Lily doesn't like to be judged so it's not a good fit for her, and like it or not the game also has no reason to really make any choices, if a player spares one monster they're probably going to spare the rest. It's the bioshock problem, there's really no point in making choices that aren't one extreme or the other unless you care about 2 lines of dialogue at the end.

What does Undertale have to offer her?

You have to read a lot.
The lesbians are weird monsters, not cute girls
The game tells you killing is bad, m'kay?
The combat system feels too complex for her to enjoy and it's literally impossible to unlock OP movements or level grind to blaze through
The monster designs are all weird and kind of ugly. They're endearing, don't get me wrong, but they're pretty intentionally supposed to be a little ugly and as we know from Lily's list of favorite Pokémon she either likes cute or cool (but as long as cool isn't popular).
Who would she latch on to? The one character that actively advocates justified murder is Flowey (and technically Asreiel by extension), and I don't think she can project properly onto him, especially because the narrative actively judges and then seeks to forgive him.

She could probably bitch about it, but there's not Undertale Critical movement to support her (/steal ideas from) so all she's be doing is kicking a hornets nest. Bo benefit to herself, therefore not worth the effort
