I'm not usually a pessimist, but the attention span of the internet is generally about a week. We're going to hit a week of this Internet story arc on Thursday, the challenge will be keeping the momentum up AFTER that, which I still believe will take a persistent effort by big voices until the job is done - if they start moving on to new story arcs, thus distracting their audiences, there is a good chance it wont get done.

I wouldn't be so sure (again, "NO FUCKING BLACKPILLING") about this failing. I'd wager that the text-only boost from PewDiePie already helped massively, considering that only in the past 12 and a half hours—13:30 or so in Brussels—there are already 20,000 signatures just today, and the initiative has already breached the 70% mark today as well. If Pewds were to follow that post up with a full-fledged video, we might see the signature count absolutely explode.

This is entirely consistent with his other lies. He doesn't say something that's completely false, he exaggerates or creatively interprets the fuck out of something that did technically happen.

For example, I've said to friends that I'm working for (well-known company A) on a major project, when in technicality I'm working for a partner company B to accomplish said project for A. I don't remember my exact wording, it might have been less misleading than I remember, but it was just way quicker to say the bit that I knew he'd understand all the pieces of instantly, not to mention I do have an NDA so I wanted to be picky about what I said. Point is, that's the sort of lie he tells... the sort of lie the evidence supports, as long as you don't look too closely at it.

This sounds about right. It's the Silicon Valley founder type of talking big game. I obviously don't know what's in his head, but this is easier to pull off when you let your memory embellish things. Only vaguely remembering things is consistent with the vague anecdotes he drops in stream.

Hopefully he does and hopefully it has a big effect. I also still hope Ross (or someone else with more reach) arranges some sort of push event in a week or 2. Maybe videos will be enough, I don't know, but I do know for a fact that having an all-star stream event with someone like pewds at the center would get the job done a hell of a lot quicker.

You're right, the internet normies do forget shit fast. Fortunately the plethora of youtube channels covering Mald being a retard didn't all drop their videos last week on the first day after Ross' video so it seems to be doing a pretty good job.

At this point, and I really mean this : Pewdiepie HAS to make a video. why?

Scenario 1 : Pewdiepie does nothing else. it succeeds....great I guess, but people might wonder why he didn't make a FULL video

Scenario 2: Pewdiepie makes a full video even 5 minutes long. It succeeds. Pewdiepie is praised as smashing the goal, he sleeps easy knowing he saved it.

Scenario 3: pewdiepie does nothing, it fails. People are miserable. People lament him for NOT doing a video, and its a stain on his reputation. literally a "YOU COULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS" moment.

Scenario 4: Pewdiepie makes a video, and it STILL somehow fails. Everyone is miserable, mass suicides, but pewdiepie did his best. He can feel free of guilt.

I cannot see a logical reason why he would not. We KNOW he knows of SKG, we know he SUPPORTS SKG, so it would be fucking stupid not to, EVEN IF hes basically retired now.

I think he's going to wait and see how things shake out. If he thinks it'll make it without him he probably won't make a video, but I think if it's looking like a loss, he'll drop a video in the last week or two, to carry SKG over the finish line. I wouldn't be surprised if he either already has a video prepped, or will make one and sit on it.
