I absolutely despise the way children are viewed and treated by apathetic and perverse adults around the world. While I’m not someone who supports banning pornography outright, I’m deeply critical of the industry and the ways it has contributed to the normalization of unhealthy and destructive views on sexuality in modern society. That said, I do believe that many of these issues can be addressed through regulation, education, and reform—not total prohibition.
However, when it comes to children, there is no room for compromise. Children should be completely off-limits in any sexual context—no exceptions, no excuses, no gray area. Pedophilic attraction or desire should never be treated as a mere fetish or identity deserving of public legitimacy or normalization. While I’m not advocating for thought policing or criminalizing private thoughts, we must draw a hard line when it comes to public expression and acceptance.
If someone privately draws or writes something involving the sexualization of children, I’m not saying they should be arrested on the spot. But that kind of content should never be tolerated in the public domain or be treated as just another genre or artistic expression. Granting legitimacy to such depictions—even in the form of drawn or fictionalized media—creates a slippery slope toward normalization. And the more pedophilic desire is normalized, the greater the risk we put actual children in. The moment society stops viewing pedophilia as a sickness or a threat is the moment we endanger real lives. The normalization of these desires, even in fictional form, erodes the moral boundaries that keep children safe.
