I read the response as a standard generic response and they don't care because pedofurs are a huge part of their clientele.

Even if he isn't banned, it was worth a shot. Knowing con staff at AWA, however, he'll definitely be banned. Lots of minors go there with their weeaboo parents, so con staff wouldn't want to risk something happening and a lawsuit kicking their ass.

Ugh. I've tried to say furries aren't all bad. I really have. I'll be the first to defend the fandom, but I'll also be there to call it out on its issues. This man is definitely one of them. Hell, I've even seen people who are into cub but not into actual kids, which is still sick, but not as bad as being like this guy. He's into both, which is just scary! It's hard to keep faith in this fandom with people like this. Hopefully someday they'll be thrown out for good. Or at least keep their deviancy to their little congregation places.

I'll have to disagree with you there. Almost every furfag I've met hates babyfur/cub stuff for the same reason everyone here does. Probably even more, considering it gives them a bad image. Hell, Eurofurance (one of the biggest fur cons) outright banned anything babyfur/diaper related from being allowed to be sold there, worn in public, etc.

Not to mention the PR disaster for the fandom at large. You can only imagine how he'd be treated by over half of the furries there if he came close to doing anything. I can only imagine how they'd tie his body to the wall about the entrance to show they don't want people like that there.

You need to go deep into religious nutter communities or famehounds to find as much drama as furries generate just by existing. I try not to stereotype in my actual, offline life, but the assumption that any self-identifying furry will be a mess of issues, sexual and otherwise, has never been wrong.

Yeah pretty much. Some drama will break out and people will talk about it outside the fandom, and there's a lot of that. Just imagine how much happens on the down low and at a more personal level. I know this from friends (I tend to stay out of drama, somehow), there's a lot. Way too much.

Everyone has their own mess of issues, to be fair, but a lot of the people who will go out of their way to introduce themselves as furries instead of letting it come up naturally in a conversation seem to have issues. I've mentioned it before, in this thread, even, but I'm pretty sure people who go out of their way to tell people that stuff instead of letting it come up naturally have some self-esteem issues and them introducing themselves is them crying for approval of something they're insecure about. I really wish more furries understood this and didn't do that.

No, it really doesn't. The fact that this thread is on furries in general, and not just small factions within it, is testament to the amount autism furries are capable of generating. No amount of trollshielding will change the fact that it's not that "some furries are austistic mongoloids, but most are cool," but rather "some furries are ok, but most are autistic mongoloids."

You make a good point. I would never argue that there aren't a ton of mongoloids in there, hell, probably more than half are.

But you are right. When a bunch of man-children are in a group, the case of "my toy is better than yours" and other petty shit will arise in different forms. And often, too. Perhaps I just didn't realize it at the time.

I met Roketsune at Furry Weekend Atlanta for a little bit before I had to leave. I ran into him at the Dealer's Den and quickly recognized those weird fluffy sock things. I didn't get any pics or video unfortunately but we only said hi and chat a little bit anyway.
What really got to me was his physical appearance, he had a Terry A. Davis-like facial structure so he looked like an old creep, I guess I shouldn't have been surprised. He was also wearing a shirt of his fursona (this pic).
