When people play single-player games, they usually don't boot up cheat-engine to edit in 99999999 money due to having self-control and wanting to enjoy the game.
Gacha is more of a grind for magic 100-year-old lolis with little to no fun other than gambling.

People get over WOW addictions by booting up a private server and getting all the items they want.

The gacha argument has no legs because as an avid slopconsumer I know that several failed gacha games have implemented EoL schemes that keep the game playable after server shutdown and it's actually a relatively easy thing to do - you just retune rewards so the currencies are available through normal play, so the gacha elements still work as before but there's no online connectivity involved. An example of this that comes to mind immediately is the Megaman gacha.

I mean given that the global launch for a lot of gatcha slop is an aftertought, I can see the argument that some would skip if they had to do EoL plans.

But if you rather have more no name gatcha slop over actual being able to keep the games that do matter then I’d say you better recheck your priorities.
 
I know the irony isn't lost on anyone here, but I personally find it truly hilarious that this faggot is so lazy and allergic to the idea of working on his game that he has to attack this initiative on the grounds that it would mean video game devs would have to slightly more work, and that disgusts him on such an intimate level.

I'm as lazy and half-assed as any red-blood American, but imagine being so against the concept of work you actively attack and slander something that wants to protect consumers from lazy, uncaring devs/corporations.
