There are too many people refreshing it to get le epik 1,000,000 screenshot so people are having trouble signing. He's trying to avoid people going there, being unable to sign, and then getting discouraged and not coming back (and thus losing a signature). That's seemingly smart but I wouldn't throw cold water on things when everyone is hyped up at the impending victory. Such is life as a good-hearted reasonable non-politician.View attachment 7594566
What did he mean by this? DDoS? Too many people trying to sign at once?
ETA:
Let's say 2.5% of the people who signed are here refreshing right now. Double it for non-EU people + haters. We're *right there* so they're refreshing constantly to get that juicy screenshot on exactly 1m. Say every 5 seconds on average. That is 600k requests / minute to some europoor government webserver. I'm mildly impressed they hadn't completely buckled completely.wouldnt a site for popular petitions taking at least 1million signatures and aiming to accommodate potentially millions of excited signers be designed for casual refreshing though? i think theres something else. tbc though i am off and stayed off now that people mention it as a possibility but still
