The Supreme Court just announced that they will hear two cases next session challenging two state's bans on troons in female sports. Keep an eye on that 41% number next summer!
get me a job as a supreme court justice asap, I mean for petes sake we are in arguable one of the most consequential times in our nations history not just in general but certainly in relation to the nations judiciary and what does the most powerful court in the land deign to weight in on in the midst of unprecedented wealth inequality, poor health, lack of basic freedoms and rights as outlined in the constitution? A question that the ape creatures of the Indus Valley could answer and they arent planning to be to hasty with it neither im sure.

marbury v madison was a mistake and I want trump to pass an EO that says the supreme court needs to have atleast 12 decisions a year until the federal debt is gone or all sitting judges are immediately fired and disbarred in all 50 tstaes

Ahh yes here it is, the unwritten document that can be changed at will. What an enlightened and democratic nation you are
I pointed out the problem with our system - supremacy of the legislature - in the paragraph below which enables that functionality. I'm not trying to be hostile towards you, calm down.

The documents that make up the nebulous constitution of the United Kingdom require strict adhering to but they're unfortunately susceptible to loopholes and amendment by parliament. It's like how guns aren't "technically" infringed on in the USA, even though even if they get priced out of viability via import taxes, see restricted importation due to sanctions on foreign states, or have proprietary additions illegalised or signalled out like short-barrelled shotguns, suppressors, extended magazines or bump stocks.

England had a civil war in the mid 1600s over the king violating the constitutional rights of parliament at the time, which offered protections for members of parliament from arrest, even if said crime was proven to have occurred (treason). Without guarantees of certain rights and privileges you'd have anarchy. Most states have constitutions and afforded rights, most of them are just shit, and most of them only became shit rather recently too. Most of the "hate speech" laws that justify the obscene arrests nowadays are a product of the 1980s.

Despite LARPing as budget warriors neocons lavish hundreds of millions of dollars worth of pork on the districts they represent which is why they keep getting reelected Despite a 3% approval rating.

Lindsay Graham is notorious for this sort of thing.

American have tendencies to vote down party line when they receive a ballot. So it’s less about what he does and more that his constituents are as retarded as the rest of the country. Will not change until he is seriously primaried

You guys see that funny little red number all the way on the right? That scary guy is kinda new, atleast at this size. Defense has always been number 3 expenditure after healthcare and social security but now EVERY YEAR we pay more money, over a trillion dollars, on just the fucking interest to our debt
Surely you must be wrong!

I have been assured by the most trust-and Chad-worthy of KFers that government debt doesn’t matter and that America can just print more money anytime, without any ill effects whatsoever.

No, Fitzpatrick was the only R nay on H. Res. 566.
Ah, good!

Oh, neat. Bryan Kohberger pled guilty to those Idaho murders. Turns out, when the police arrested him, he had the ID of one of the victims on him. Or something like that.

:story:

I remember /pol/ incels raging to defend the guy for weeks.
What's the story with this guy and the Idaho killings? never heard of it until the news he plead guilty.

A big issue I see is that alternatives are rarely offered. Like, you're a Republican, a Conservative, so you don't want to put a Dem in power because that gives the Dems as a whole more power over the country and you don't like what they're selling. However your only option for a Republican candidate is a Neocon Shithawk RINO whose only real purpose is to vote along party lines on occasion but otherwise offers zero value. You could wait for the coveted "Primary Challenge" for a chance to get in someone better, but it's risky, since the politician getting elected for your area might be the whole reason your area hasn't flipped Dem. Also unless you have overwhelming support too from higher up in the party, primarying someone might be viewed as a sort of betrayal or act of selfishness, so prompting one without consent from above might earn you the cold shoulder and see you forced to campaign on a couple dimes and some lint during the next major election, which we have seen the Republicans do out of sheer spite before.

Psycho Jew tried to be a sick nasty murderer, got caught red-handed immediately, and tried to muster a defense claiming it was actually three other people before the state told him he'd get the death penalty if it went to trial. So he plead guilty. Kohberger caught the attention of true crime hoes who thought he was sexy and also of incels who were happy that young, cute college chicks got murdered.

There were some discrepancies in the police investigation in the beginning that fueled the idea that the guy was innocent, but we're now finding out that the police have the dude dead to rights: tons of his DNA at the scene of the crime and also an ID card belonging to one of the victims that he kept as a keepsake.

its alright tommy im just yanking yer chain. I think your misinterpreting what im trying to say, its widely acknowledged as a point of trivia and fact that the UK FAMOUSLY dosent have a constitution. That sentence is true but that dosent mean you dont have constitutional law, its kind of a weird difference but it does matter. I encourage you to read more about it because I had to do a paper on it back in the day for a polysci class, the quick and dirty verison is that your nation is so fuck off old with so many traditions that it was and is just engrained in you all to adhere to certian parts of that tradition unflichingly.

Take for example your prime minister, this is no law or anything that says that it HAS to be the leader of the party who wins the elections, by law its whomever the sovereign selects but because of tradition that has simply never taken place and even beyond that they have the power "constitutionally" to appoint ANYONE to the position regardless of election results as its HIS majesty's government

More of you need to get on my team. The national debt doesn't matter, run it up even higher.

Also illegals should be lucky they can even breathe the air within US borders.

Also also Medicaid and all that should be for every citizen or no citizen. Sick of people getting special treatment.

Lastly free Hat!

we need a libertarian party lolcow thread, i swear to God.
I am not a lawctologist but would it not already be illegal to rent to someone in the country illegally?

If anything would this not protect property owners by preventing civil rights groups from suing when someone says, "I really do not want twenty illegals living in my apartment meant for two to four people?"

Don't know what the point of this is its literally delaying the inevitable vote.

On the outside, people are still trying to organize to get people to call their reps to stop this. There are lists of "vulnerable" R reps being circulated, for example, and they think if they call and fax and bug those reps enough they can get them to vote no. He's buying those people more time, not that it's likely to work.
