I’m less worried about being overtaken in medical advancements for now, I would prefer if we focused more on making medicine more affordable in general. All our R&D investments still leads to a $10k ambulance ride

Will trump/rfk achieve this ? In my opinion it’s unlikely they do so , but one can hope I guess.

It certainly won't achieve this. We need to reform healthcare costs and insurance to fix that. I'd love to fix it, but we'd need to probably create nationalized healthcare in order to do that and that's pretty damn unlikely for the foreseeable future

Nobody is going to remember this by 2026 election, at all. But I agree this should've been stronger. Next year we'll see, that might be a better time to push harder on 2A and the rest than right now when it doesn't matter quite as much.
