All the calls for protests and boycotts I heard online (from places like Xitter/Bluesky and this exceptional individual) made it seem as though absolutely everyone is as TDS-filled as they are and King Blumpf will be impeached any day now. Imagine my shock that I saw no protests while out watching fireworks and listening to the National Anthem and country music last night. Didn't even hear anything of them on the local news despite being in a pretty blue area. All I saw were articles talking about places where parades and events were being held for the 4th of July celebrations.

As an aside, I did notice people were way more energetic and happy this 4th than the last. Lots more friendly conversations, flags and whoops and cheers from people driving down the street to celebrate. Almost as though many people voted for Trump and like a lot of his policies or something. Can't be true, though. Radical leftists told me so.

I've personally seen zero protesting or anything despite my local college, Facebook groups, and newspaper (that's more a Democrat opinion rag than actual news) raising all kinds of hell about Trump nonstop.

Driving home from work last week I did see one soy-infused college twink standing alone on the sidewalk with his stupid GenZ combover hair and biceps the same size as his wrists holding up a sign saying "Impeach the orange FASCIST!" He was being completely ignored by everyone.

I love this mental image because despite my area having a lot of people against Trump, as well, all I ever see are churches out holding up Jesus Loves You and Free Bible signs.

Remember when the first thing Trump went after with DOGE was USAID? Something 90% of us probably didn't know existed? And the blackpillers said it was proof he didn't know what he was doing? That one bloated Fed department wasn't the problem?

And yet? Within a month of it being shuttered? Dozens of "grassroots" protests and destructive mobs have...... disappeared.

And those who haven't? Are being arrested by Federal forces, bypassing local law enforcement that has been forcibly sidelined by activist Mayors and Governors. And nobody's bailing them out.

I think Trump knew somethin from his first term vis-a-vis those "protests", but didn't want to give anyone a heads-up until he had both hands on that rug......

Some ideas:

1: lots of lefties just gave up until the midterms. if this happens again in 2026, somethings seriously up. but if protests are large like say, 2020, something might happen.
2: funding from USAID is cut, meaning less protests.
3: all the main organizers are in jail/out on bond following the riots in LA, a hotbed. Has anyone checked in on court cases from the riots of people arrested?
