the Catholic Church for example, there was a strange uptick in converts before Vatican II happened, luckily theres a much longer emphasis on tradition and ritual with Catholicism so it's not all lost in terms of going full pro-gay,pro-trans,etc. at worst it created a generation of Vatican II Boomers who know virtually nothing about the faith and support things that every Catholic would have never been in support of in the 2000 years of Church History and many Younger Catholics see the recent history and have fought back, with many Protestant Churches they are far easier to maniuplate given the fact that cherry picking scripture and a tradition of questioning things have been a thing within those denominations since the days of Luther and Calvin, thats why you see millions of subsect and Churches within it, particularly in the United States where some denominations are Conservative while others are full globohomo and have no belief in Jesus and might as well be preaching from the Communist Manifesto instead of the Bible, and I am not necessarily saying Protestants are bad people here, just that its more institutionally maleable.

On the other hand, the immense institutional rigidity makes a successful infiltration much harder to pull off but near impossible to remove if they make it to the top. While there are traditionalist movements that reject Vatican II and the pozz teachings of the last few decades, the Catholic reverence to hierarchy and position have come around to bite them in the ass. Most conservative minded Catholics outright agree that Vatican II has produced nothing but bad fruit and has wrecked the church, but they still revere the very propigators of these teachings while calling them heretical and even blasphemous. Protestantism's weakness of disorganization and schism becomes a strength when fully infiltrated, and vice versa for Catholics.

As for hope that younger generations will fix the Vatican II RCC, remember that leftists value political loyalty above all else. Anyone who will rise to power in an already compromized institution will reflect the wishes of their bosses. When a Protestant denomination gets pozzed, you can expect 25-33% of the laity and clergy to break off instantly. After 60 years of Vatican II, maybe one in every one hundred Catholics have joined traditionalist Churches that reject the council.

I think this makes both parties seem a bit servile and slavish, just to different things.

The DNC is definitely just goosestepping with whatever any glass screen tells them. But the RNC you could say is beholden to an idealized version of the country. 92% is a little TOO high. America is good, but not that good.
I'd argue that 92% is fine since the US is one of the few countries that's getting better atm. Outside the US and Argentina i can't really name a country that's improving.

Ok for a lazy retard like me, someone sum up this big beautiful bill and if it's good or bad, be honest in your opinion.

how certain everyone was that Kamala would win, you'd think i would have learned not to believe pollsters by now but i was pretty blackpilled.
Um…what? Quite literally nobody except the pollsters thought Kamala was going to win. She lead the worst campaign of all time, avoided public speaking like a plague, and had no authentic support.
If you genuinely got blackpilled into thinking she was gonna win, when Trump had already won with the assassination attempt, after he had already won with the mock trial, then you fell for some of the worst propaganda on earth

It takes so long because they have to reformat the recipe and they start producing the stuff well in advance. Especially when the years planned is so close (from their standards). If they had said something like 2029 or 2030 I would have agreed.

Guilty as charged. I mean i had my suspicions but I guess I was just naive enough to think that pollsters actually had a shred of dignity left and blackpilled enough to think people were still buckbroken after the prior 4 years.

I also live in a very left wing area and most of family is such so i heard a lot of TDS, though it has been extremely quiet since he won the election... Like somebody flipped a switch.

ICE just became the 3rd largest funded military force on the entire planet, beating even Russia. Illegals are fucked. There's your summary

Texas State Guard (not U.S military) drill is canceled tomorrow. I get a day off and I don’t have to get up at 6 AM tomorrow. Happy 4th to all you guys!

The left lost control of the media so they can't censor this as whitey realizes that the ones that want the blacks and browns gone are the majority and the media is lying

@pwnest injun Blacks and Browns for all their bravado can't fight, we know that, the left doesn't.
They didn’t lose control of the media, they still have that firmly in their grasp. The media lost its relevance, and therefore its ability to control any narrative.
It’s akin to owning all the blockbuster gift cards when everyone else moved away from physical rental

Some of us just expected a much better showing of 2am ballot dumps on election night.

It is an improvement but it still isn't big enough, the ICE budget should exceed the military budget until the illegal population is down to a more manageable level.

Dan Crenshaw is also a mystery to me. Dude got IED’d in the pointless ‘war’ in Afghanistan and almost lost both eyes and is an obsessive Zionist.

How do you serve your country yet betray it and its fundamental principles with a straight face?
The eyepatch helps.

You can have pride in something even though it isn't perfect. You can have pride in it's foundations, in its scaffolding, in its lasting beauty, in the people who helped build it, and the ones will help maintain it - even if you don't like the color of the paint on the walls, or that step that creaks, or that door that sometimes opens by itself.

Just like I can have pride in my family, for the good moral people they are, for how they try even when things are hard, for never abandoning family even when there were issues. I can have pride in them for the strength we are as a unit, for how we come together when one of us passes to all lend each other support, how we protect our most vulnerable, and how we all love each other despite our differences. Even though they don't always pick up their socks, even though they don't always put their dishes in the sink, or borrowed the car without thinking about it when I had an appointment, even though they slammed the door once when we had an argument, even though one of them dated someone I knew would never work out and had to face the consequences of that, even all that I still have pride in my family.

In the same way, you can be proud of America. Proud of how intelligently the constitution was written, the strength it took to argue for the bill of rights, the bravery it took to fight for the vision even if few others believed it could work.
You can be proud in America for how the nation comes together, volunteers coming from many other states during natural disasters, donations being sent from all over the country.
You can be proud in America for the national identity, the shared vision many of us still have, our ability to turn things around even when they seem dire.
You can be proud in America for the hope the nation still has, the inability to give up and concede to commies and people who hate the country.

Even with the flaws. Even with the flawed voting mechanics. Even with the corrupt politicians. Even with the foreign influence. Even with the people who have no pride left.

Even with the dirty socks. Even with the squeaky step. Even with the arguments. Even with all that you can still have pride in your home, your family, and the American dream.

God bless America. 🦅🇺🇸

If you really want precision going back to the Greek and Hebrew is good. Also, what issue do you have with other English versions? My old Bible teacher who I greatly respected, essentially recommended the ESV.
Unfortunately I do not speak either of those languages, and similar to how different versions of the same language can create wielly different interpretations of the same verses, I imagine the same issue must exist with Greek and Hebrew too. Even then, translation tools may also use specific, incorrect words that give different translations from the original so...

Regarding other English versions, there were two even older variants (Great Bible and Bishop's Bible) that are gone, but the Bishop's Bible was the foundation for the KJV translation. It mostly comes down to one thing: autism.

ESV:
1751681835668.webp

1751681848729.webp

KJV:
1751682116120.webp

1751682141332.webp

The three words of note are: "Sojourn" (1), "Stranger" (2), and "Dwelleth" (3).
In ESV, (1) replaces (3), and (1) and (2) are used seemingly interchangeably.
In KJV, (2) is more of a specific demarcation, and (1) and (3) are not the same thing hence (3) being used. (3) emphasises a (2) who is dwelling with you I.E. living under your roof. Due to the former's use of (1) and (2) interchangeably, the extant of how you regard (2) has now been made too broad. The ESV version can be interpreted regarding with love all strangers, whereas the KJV version is specific to those who "dwelleth" with you. Essentially, to make it easier to read, it loses precision. Now I know people aren't going to interpret it 1:1 the bizarre way I have but simplification allows for altered interpretation. Using "Stranger" and "Sojourn"/"Sojourner" interchangeably also means the specific context of either of those words becomes muddied.

This is a very small nitpick right, but consider the use of "sojourner" in the vineyard verse, but then the subsequent use of "stranger" below. Now, I know that you know that the "sojourner" and the "stranger" are the same thing, but in isolate, a "sojourner" is simply someone who stays somewhere temporarily and couple be used for anybody, such as a family member or invited guest. Pairing "Stranger" with "Sojourner" is specific.

I think the easiest/specific example to demonstrate potential theological differences is with Genesis 12;7
1751684535802.webp
1751684578776.webp

The former uses "offspring" whereas the latter uses "seed", with the former specifying Abraham's children whilst the latter emphasises a continuity beyond Abraham's immediate descendants, which is rather important. Here's how it alters Galatians 3:16.
1751686435224.webp
1751686494471.webp

"Offsprings" is not used in the ESV version of what Paul is referencing, God says "offspring". In the ESV version Paul has to pluralise "offspring" so his interpretation make sense, whereas "seed" does not have that issue.

Edit: forgot to include the clunkiness of offspring at the end of Galatians 3. Left = KJV Right = ESV

It also has Mark make an assertion that is incorrect, versus the KJV which is more broad in who he's quoting.

1751686772168.webp
1751686801009.webp

(Isaiah did not say that, it was Malachi in 3:1)
1751687097322.webp

So when it comes to inconsistencies present in newer versions, the older version which may possess its own warts is preferable. I have no skin in this game because I'm not religious but I think for analysis, doctrine, etcetera, KJV is probably better.

(This is criticisms of a specific translation/version of the bible not a criticism against the content itself. I've seen online people who take the words in their preferred version as being more gospel/doctrine than other versions. You can find people coping on behalf of Mark quoting the wrong prophet/book.)
