I have two theories:
1 - Genuine demonic possession.
2 - They associate that name with defiance / rebellion to God / standing against the western social order.

Many of them are atheists who think they're being edgy and calling themselves after demons is a way of "getting back at those Christian bigots", which usually means upsetting their parents.
