Most autistic thing you've purchased lately - c'mon feel the cringe

Man, I want one of those, but all I can afford rn is a tiny chunk of iron meteorite. My long term goal is a decent sized plate of pallasite, and/or a Widmanstätten pattern to wear as an awesome pendant. What type did you get?
Its just Tektite so Ive since learnt that is a cast off material and not a metorite at all :( impulse control would of saved me 10 bux in this instance. Usually I bid on meteorite in the morning and the next day its gone up 500%. Ive had 0 zero luck so far.

Museum in the town i grew up in had a really large iron meteorite in a cage you could pick up, look closely at marvel at and they have had to take if off display recently after 40 odd years because someone tried to steal it recently, but they sell pendants an rings with slivers of other ones mounted in them that look really nice an are reasonably priced I'm not a jewler but I've always thought it would be cool to make one.

Travelled eons just to potentially end up stolen by some fucking wet brain who didnt make it thru the early stages of social development. Also too stupid to understand the importance of it all...
Back on track got another round of Hyper-inflated currency:
1913 Austro/Hungarian Kronen.
1942 Greek Drachma.
1994 Yugo Dinar.
2017 Bolivares.

If Im missing any please let me know. Or any other banknotes of historical context.

Some tektites are actually pretty cool, I wouldn't beat yourself up about it.

Bought this neato figure of Ammy from Okami from a Japanese seller on Mercari for $50. Even with international shipping it was a bargain compared to local sellers on eBay.

While I was at it I also got this little figurine of Felicia from Darkstalkers (I think it was an old claw machine or gachapon prize or similar) from a Yahoo Japan auction for like $7.

If you have all these arranged in a display case, consider a couple of Beanie Babies for visual interest/irony. Open the back seam and remove appropriate stuffing for them to better fit in a shallow frame/shadow box.

Unfortunately like BTC I missed the beanie baby boat and will eternally blame boomers for boxing me out of the market. Would be funny to buy one of those Princess Di memorial BB.

Was thinking an American banknote from before the gold standard was abolished might be cool to add to the collection.

A tin of Ashtons Rainy Day, pipe tobacco.

I don't know why - the justification was that it was recomended to me - but I allready have a 2½ tins going and it's going to take me a long while to smoke through it all. I also think they're all of a similar taste profile so there's barely any diversity between them, It's bloody expensive too goddamit.

Refreshing my wardrobe for the next decade.

First up, long sleeve tshirts, heavyweight, three different brands to see which holds up to washing. Amazon basics, Dickies, Hanes. Once I finish the wash test I'll buy more in basic colors. Black, grey, navy blue.

From here I bought a new dresser that will house my wardrobe refresh. I've pulled everything out of my closet and paired way down, measured the volume of the clothes I do have and bought a dresser that should in theory hold it all.

I look forward to not buying clothes again for another decade.

Would you recommend a Missouri Meerschaum for someone getting into pipes?

Yeah, thats what everyone else is saying. If you're buying new, then they're the cheapest (without loss of quality). So its easier to decide if its for you without spending too much. I started with an ol' bent billiard I found in an antiqe shop. But anyway, yes I'll recomend it. I'm thinking of getting one myself actually, MacArthur style.

Tax:
A new rifle, more or less a spontanius purchase.
