I think the OLED screen is meant to be pretty good. Maybe Switch 1 has more games? Or if a family have one, they can share games? I'm just guessing, I have no experience with either switch.I wonder why they continue to buy the Switch 1. Aren't they both sold at a similar price compared to the rest of the world?
They sure are. I can't wait to see how good it will look on PS5PRO with PSSR...oh wait, they've gone quiet about that as well.people are getting really hush hush about how much of a bomb this game really is
The problem wasnt even the gameplay really, people would put up with mediocre gameplay if it had characters they actually liked but they made insane decisions like Donte instead of Dante or Bayonetta, Lightning instead of Cloud etcPlaystation All-Stars wasn't the greatest but the gameplay and mechanics could have been tuned and refined with a sequel or with continued updates and reworks but they never gave the developers a chance to try. One and done, it is as if Nintendo had given up on Smash Bros after the first try.
I mean, maybe you could say this before multiversusThe problem wasnt even the gameplay really, people would put up with mediocre gameplay if it had characters they actually liked
I hope so. I hope it hurts even worse than last time it happened to the industry.I really believe a AAA gaming crash is on our hands. We're witnessing it in real time.
If that's true. It really is dead since DS1 at release sold like eggfarts and Kojima had to do mental gymnastics on why it bombed. They'll shit it onto everything else, offer it as a free download eventually and claim it "sold a lot."Death stranding is down 60% in sales compared to DS1.
Specifically, that's in japan though, where ps5 software sales are massively down compared to ps4 (hardware sales on paper are keeping relative pace with ps4 in the region, but that's only because Chinese were buying and importing them en masse to take advantage of the yen's inflation, and also because an imported japanese ps5 was less locked down than their domestically sold ones), but other reports are saying it's down overall, just not by as extreme of an amount. If that's true. part of it is the lack of marketing, I didn't even knew it was coming out and I'm probably still more tuned into vidya than the average normalfag...people are getting really hush hush about how much of a bomb this game really is

fuck now that you mention it I remember I saw some posts, but completely forgot about it...and having a Vtuber collab on it.
Switch 1 OLED's screen is very good indeed. And the Switch 1 can run far more Switch 1 games (i.e. all of them) than the Switch 2 can (i.e. less than all of them), and there are very few Switch 2 games available and/or worth buying. It's a better value proposition right now.I think the OLED screen is meant to be pretty good. Maybe Switch 1 has more games? Or if a family have one, they can share games? Switch 1 used to sell 35k+ even on an off week in japan, even after the switch 2 was revealed, it's not unreasonable that momentum wouldn't immediately cease.I wonder why they continue to buy the Switch 1. Aren't they both sold at a similar price compared to the rest of the world?
I’ll believe it when i see it. Microsoft laying off a bunch of people feels like a major correction and not a crash. Now if GTAVI fails to live up to massive expectations and BO7 fails to break even, i would lean in that we have a major AAA game crash.I really believe a AAA gaming crash is on our hands. Switch Lite is cheaper and more comfortable/portable, so I'm not too surprised. I bet that model's sales will last longest.I wonder why they continue to buy the Switch 1. Aren't they both sold at a similar price compared to the rest of the world?
Those people that were layed off are being replaced by Indians. Look it up.I’ll believe it when i see it. Microsoft laying off a bunch of people feels like a major correction and not a crash. Japan tends to stick with systems longer.I wonder why they continue to buy the Switch 1. Aren't they both sold at a similar price compared to the rest of the world?
Just checked the breakdown of the different models since famitsu shows that. The switch lite has by far the lowest sales out of the 3 models overall, and was decently behind the OLED model in weekly sales. Definitely not much of a fan of the screen on the lite either, so I can't call it an amazing deal, I really think the price should be half of the base model, not 2/3. Overall, I'd really only recommend it in cases where you have multiple kids who are using it mostly as a portable and don't want to share a single system, or for younger children who you're worried about losing joycons or damaging the rails.Switch Lite is cheaper and more comfortable/portable, so I'm not too surprised. I'm surprised, supposedly japs are all about portability. The regular Switch is an unwieldy behemoth, not as big or heavy as Steam Deck but still chunky, and with far inferior ergonomics. Switch Lite is uncomfortable as hell too but at least it's relatively light and small. At this point it should certainly receive a price cut though.Just checked the breakdown of the different models since famitsu shows that.
