In what world does an immigration policing force need several magnitudes more funding than any branch of the fucking military lmao

We have around 11 million illegal immigrants in the US, which means there is about 1 illegal for every 30 citizens. That is an absolutely insane ratio to have in a country and any long term plans on handling the issue usually ends when a Democrat in office. Having a budget to hire the manpower to needed to handle the issue once and for all in a single presidential term is pretty much the only option we have at this point.

The way you get the jobs to appeal to Americans is by getting illegals out and paying them properly. Then you have to target teachers and the high school to college debt pipeline. A lot of teachers will demonize other avenues to success in favor of going to college at any cost and when people are very young and not fully capable of such decisions.

They are a source of the problem. Yes the corpos, farmers, etc. that hire them are equally to blame but having an available pool of menial workers willing to undercut the populace is equally to blame.

I’m remembering the story of a teacher telling a student to study otherwise he’d become a garbage man. The garbage man tells the student that he earns double the teachers salary and doesn’t take work home.

I'd say the ratio is more 15/10 to one. we have twice the number you quoted there, if not more. 20-25 million would be a very conservative estimate. I've seen people claim 40+
