Basically it boils down to "Nazis, Fascists, and other far-Right political ideologies are evil because Holocaust. Therefore Left-leaning Democracies are the best way to go for now. Also, just ignore that the Comminists and other Marxist political ideologies are responsible for many times more deaths than the Nazis ever caused by several magnitudes. Remember, we are marching towards a kinder, gentler future in some form of Democratic Socialism. That's where we will inevitably end up, and any form of Right-wing populism and nationalism is to be denounced as the worst evil!"

But since progressivism had utterly failed, more and more people are opening their eyes and questioning the Post-War Consensus. They're beginning to look at the "inevitableness" of some form of Democratic Socialism, see that progressive policies have done nothing to improve their lives and have actively harmed their nations and cultures, turned their once safe communities into low-trust hellholes in the name of "multiculturalism, and have slit the throat of national pride. They don't want any part of it any longer and are questioning other things they've been told all their lives...like maybe the wrong side won WWII. Maybe the Germans were onto something, perhaps not with the Holocaust, but definitely with protecting their culture and making sure harmful influences are removed. That maybe in-group preference isn't actually racist and evil, or that racism itself isn't necessarily evil and wrong. Maybe nationalism and Right-wing policies are worth looking into.

The Overton Window has shifted dramatically to the Right and we are seeing a similar cultural and political shift as the one we saw in the early 20th Century that kicked off the era of progressivism that we are today seeing the death of. You're going to see a lot less notions of things like "the truth is subjective and based on one's lived experiences" and "everyone regardless of their race and gender are equal and can do anything or live anywhere just fine" and a move back to the hard truths and rationalism we saw up until the early 20th Century.

Sorry, didn't mean to get all political in the guns thread. I'm just passionate about our culture and believe we are at the beginning of a long overdue shift back towards valuing truth and rational thought.

Do it, I have an Italian repro Colt Walker and it is fantastic, certainly gets people's attention at the range (as the smoke cloud obscures the target). It’s gay, but doing NFA paperwork allows me to use the items without worrying about 10 years in prison. Same reason I go through the inconvenience of having a drivers license.

Not to mention that you still have to deal with the interstate travel bullshit. I doubt that the removal of the tax is going to really matter much for SBRs, and I think most people will opt for braces to avoid all the extra crap. Personally won't be getting any SBR or SBS, and frankly I doubt I will be getting a suppressor either. The 200 bucks was not the barrier for most people to get NFA items.
